No? How was the old Taco Bell Tour in terms of popularity? My thinking is that boomers constitute a majority of the target audience and maybe they would be especially interested. Not even one chance in a million.
Exactly. I just mentioned the old Taco Bell senior tour. Maybe Chick-fil-A is a possibility.I wonder if they could get an American fast food chain to sponsor it.
If only we had a legend of the game to approach fast food chains for something like this.

Has Matchroom ever shown any interest in producing anything but World Class 9ball events for the best male players in the world? If a senior tour is coming, it certainly won't be produced by Matchroom. No? How was the old Taco Bell Tour in terms of popularity? There is a senior snooker tour, but I'm not sure Matchroom is involved. Maybe a senior pool tour would work when SVB, Josh, and Fedor are all retired.Has Matchroom ever shown any interest in producing anything but World Class 9ball events for the best male players in the world? Great, all we need is a 'woke' tour where guys play gals. IMO that's a horrible idea for multiple reasons. Couple questions: how many 65yr old male players will beat a top WPBA player? Gotta be less than ten. Also, why would the WPBA want to do this? Does it do anything positive for their tour? To me it just says 'Hey our tour is weak so we need some old fart men to improve it'. Seriously???The possibility of a woman's Pro tour or a Sr Tour happening are not good.
I'd personally like to see the WPBA allow men over sixty five be allowed to play in their events.
That would be the end of women's pro pool as we know it.I'd personally like to see the WPBA allow men over sixty five be allowed to play in their events.
'Marketable' is THE deal. No one is going to fund a sr. tour unless it makes money. Just doing it for funsies and nostalgia won't get it done.Mizerak's tour had about five events a year and was, if memory serves, for players over 50. Steve, because of the Miller Lire commercial, was one of extremely few male players that had become well-known outside of pool, and it gave him access to some sponsorship. His tour lasted a few years but can hardly be counted as a financial winner. No senior tour has emerged this century.
Ultimately, the question is not whether the seniors wish to compete but whether the seniors are marketable. If so, there should be some sponsorship available to them for a new tour, but if not, then the pickings will be slim.
The gals have a pretty solid fan base and adding over-the-hill men would do nothing but harm. Agree 100% here. That would be the end of women's pro pool as we know it.
