Best display of cueing you've ever seen

that's a lot of nursing for me.. what's he doing at 6:05? how is that not a foul?

impressive run either way.
thats the highest level of play you can get in the game, to continue to get to that position

ref was watching, dont know what to tell you other than it probably wouldnt get the correct action if it was a foul

About 10 years ago Larry Nevel won the Music City Open (he actually chopped with J. Archer) and he never missed a ball the entire tournament . He got out of line one time in the finals and was very upset. I loved watching him play. RIP Larry!

right. i meant if it's froze against the cushion, the tip would make double contact. like a push shot. no cierto?
Almost. The rules of carom billiards are different from pool and snooker. At carom you are not allowed to shoot into a cushion the cue ball is frozen to. At pool and snooker it is allowed.

Since there was a ref right there, I have to assume the cue ball was close to but not frozen to the cushion. The ref must announce a frozen ball.

(If the cue ball is frozen and you shoot into the cushion at an angle, the tip will normally make only one contact.)

Speaking of carom, in one of the last 18.1 (47/2) balkline championships, Caudron ran 300 and out in his final three matches, I believe. I only saw the last two on video. Here is a video of Fred demonstrating and describing a run:

A run that doesn’t get enough mention is Darren Appleton’s title final straight pool run of 200 on Bustie….highest run ever.
….. second would be Mosconi’s 526*…...with an asterisk….high exhibition run….third Shaw**…playing the ghost

I played 2 races to 7 back to back and never missed a ball on a BB, broke dry 3 times and my opponent got out each time and then broke dry themselves and I ran out. 14 - 3 and not a single ball missed by 2 bangers lol. Why couldn't it be like that every day
