Experiments in looking at the cueball while delivering the stroke.

The finals of the Snooker has Higgins vs Wu. Will be on wst.tv. well second session. First is up on youtube. Definitely worth the price of admission for a subscription.

Back to promote the Snooker coverage and quality product.
Honest good looks at eye patterns are available. Plus the competition is entertainment. Shrug
Watch and Listen , uh Grass hopper. 😉
Gotta go Robertson vs Allen is on now.

I was just thinking , i think Ronnie, when asked which ball, said "it could be both".
What if he tried to say, he is looking at both of them athe the same time?
That could be. My attempts to watch his eye pattern often leaves me unsure of any eye movement. Predator eyes. 🤷‍♂️
Watching the incredible no look shots by Venom makes me believe anything is possible.

Pretty sure it was Either not both. Which leads me to consider what each method seems to provide. Judd Trump said object ball and is an incredible shot maker. The cueball last guys proofed cueball control down to micro precise shape. Perfect shape leads to easier shots. 🤷‍♂️
Ronnie could be saying that the situation can dictate the method. 🤷‍♂️

I don't think you can be sure...

it really doesnt matter as once you are lined up you can look at the ceiling if you want as long as you can move the stick forward straight.

only time i pay attention is with a real longer low draw shot as i need to be precise with my cue ball hit so i dont miscue.

most tend to look at the object ball as thats their target but would be better off looking at the whole line of travel.

I had an epiphany, from my earlier days.
Growing up in an era where others did not want you to learn/get better I remember this happening more than one time.
Sucked in.... A great player would intentionally tell you something that was seemingly correct with their salesmanship style/ego and logical explanation... etc. It kept my game back at times, they knew I was comin'.
Took longer than I expected, I expected nothing cept I always got better every 3-4 mths for a good twenty years.... why the F quit?.

Yeah but what you gonna look at when the cueball is the only ball left on the table?
Hence cueball last. 🤷‍♂️

Wst.tv is at it again with incredible camera work and best possible analysis and comments by the best.
Judd Trump is playing Si Jiahu and the coverage is awesome.
One camera shot close up on the white shows the reflection. Aiming for something I see in that reflection is a personal method.
I suspect Judd has modified since discussion with Stephen Hendry regarding which ball last.

Give it a rest already. Been slinging this crap for 12 yrs.

The World number 1 back at his best. The camera coverage makes for a huge part of the lesson. The World Class comments make for a cheap lesson is my point.

The battle of the Z with Zang Anda vs Zhao Xintong first thing this morning, providing entertainment and education. 🤷‍♂️ The comments and analysis of Grand Masters makes for valuable lessons.

I don’t think there is any chance any pro consistently looks at the CB last throughout the entire stroke and follow through when the CB is 7+ feet away from the OB.

CB last works great for me on a 7’ table, but on a 9’ table I utilize both depending on the distance between OB and CB.

the CB last throughout the stroke
Not sure if I am parsing right. 😉
I think I got it. Not the answer just understand the statement.
The Coverage of the Snooker does provide high definition looks at various aspects. Close up capabilities are put on display. The occasional looks at the eye pattern through the stroke is there. Most of the variation or movements of the eyes is beyond my ability to detect. I rely on movements of the eye brows for a clue.
