Is Jerry Briesath really a coach? I thought he was more of an instructor. I'm not sure the two are the same skill.

So pickleball and cornhole attracts more advertising than pool? Maybe watching 2 players play safe with each other is more like chess, a hard game to play but not fun to watch, if you want the players earn more money make the game more fun to watch, this will put more fans in the seats to watch them, I'm not suggesting 5" pockets but 4.25" would be good and add an element of risk to the game and lock up safeties would be harder to play.
I have attended & filmed many Mosconi Cups.
It’s the one pool event that must be experienced on both sides of the pond and then you will understand.

It's a given, entertainment's been harnessed to recycle the fountaining. If the water is off color/taste/smell, the response is weak, fuk that fountain. Look for a better one.
I could GAF about any one's or manner of expectations. If you like doing something, you'll do it. If rich is your bent, don't start with pool.

Ill put in a phone call. I'll also suggest Trump force Orcollo and Aranas be forced back to the US to perform hard labor on the pool table for 10 years. Also, any European living in The US has to play for the US, hello Shaw and a few others

Have to disagree, young people are into anything with a screen, it's tough to tear them away from that, it’s the reality......
Yeah that too - en masse but the real distinguished practitioners of anything (sorely missed in this context) come few and far between as it is. With everything against them and no interest in the first place, they'll stop coming altogether.
Watching that snooker video where the two are discussing the subtleties of performance over a 12 footer and a baby grand I am reminded once again of the quality issue in the genre.
The table and piano have magnitudes more technical precision and quality of output than the practitioners. Further, those devices are only deemed fit use after passing rigorous qualification 'rituals'.
OTOH, the players - at least the poolers only need an honorable victim list.
That's the beauty of the sport a game like 14.1 is your grand piano, 9 ball is your Eddie Van Halen, an undeniable talent that even the most highly educated music professors marvel at, there is room for both......
I'll add, why can't different games have different pocket sizes like golf courses, there are no 2 golf courses alike, each course has it's own best way to be played, is it inconceivable that this could be added to the sport of Billiards? I believe there is room for both and every one can decide what is their favorite game, I would love to see a match between the "elite" pool players compete against the "easy table" players in a game of 9 ball, that would be fun to watch!
