PBS St Louis 2026 (Men’s World 8 Ball Championship, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Open, Bank Pool), 1-8 April, Half Million Prize Fund

Wow. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

It happened ONCE

Is this another poster from the bad at math side?

it happened last year too. either way, i don't have a problem with them racking with a triangle, but i would rather see them use a proper triangle like delta-13. slug racks don't belong in a world championship. predator tried to re-invent the wheel instead of slapping their cat on a trusted triangle

The Bergman Derangement Syndrome is strong with this one.

Fu completely carried that match, she was a wonder to behold. Bergman pretty much gave up halfway through and started moping around in his seat. He has no business on the Mosconi Cup team.
This is taking it a bit too far - Bergman's 10 ball break seems below average for the top men and he missed a couple of shots I think he'd like to have back, but when it really mattered his cue ball was tremendous. "No business on the Mosconi Cup team" is just a horrible take.

I understand Fu is a women's pool legend, but I've personally never watched her play before. You could tell she was feeling some pressure, but the paper thin 2-ball she made down the long rail was just incredible. The 8-ball she made in the case game of the 2nd set took some serious cajones. She played countless creative and effective safeties with almost 0 input from Bergman. I would agree with you she's carried the team to the final, she's come with some crazy shots and she's at least a half ball better on the break than the other ladies playing.

Chezka Centeno is so funny to watch play - I'm not even sure she cares if she wins or not, she just freaking loves to hit balls. There is virtually zero touch, finesse, or thought in her game...she just shoots, and it works for her.

I compare her to being a female Shaw. No fear, quick pace. Fun to watch.

I would agree about slug racks but something happening once a year is not an epidemic

Anyone watch the Fu vs Kelly Fisher match?

The very young Asian referee missed a foul by Fu at a crucial point in the game.

She did the same in the Bergman vs Sky match.

I appreciate being a referee is super tough, but she really needs more training.

The referees should be encouraged to stop the clock and watch replays of shots.

I have never seen Fu and wondered who she was. Love to know why she has gotten back in the game - she sure has looked good! Playing and beating Mast now with a chance to get to the final 8 on the women's side.
I think she took time off to start family like Han Yu and Liu Sha Sha.

There seemed to be plenty of 3 and 4 packs though
It's par for the course with top players in 8 ball. Too easy boring. That is why 9B 10B are more popular spectator games than 8B

This should be official pool t-shirt to promote pool

Who're the commentators in the shaw ouschan match? One of them reminds me of one of my students, tone, inflection and sometimes just completely talking out of his ass.

In my opinion, his two-rail blind kick with left masse to shorten it is one of the greatest kick shots in the history of the game. I can easily imagine shooting that shot for an hour without making the eight ball even once.
That would be a good one for Rollie Williams (formerly Your Average Pool Player on YouTube) to make his return to pool and see how many tries it takes him to replicate.

Good mixed doubles final here. Hard to root against any of these four. We'll have a great story no matter who pulls this out.

And, of course, Fu and Zielinski on both in the semis in their singles events, so we are watching some really in-form players.

Seo and Wiktor snapped off the mixed doubles with rock-solid play. Seo was the perfect partner for Wiktor. Her fine play and calm demeanor seemed to free him up to play his best. Wiktor was just superb in this final.

If he can pretend that Seo is there with him tomorrow, Wiktor's chances against Biado (correction: Yapp) in the World 8ball semis will have to be taken very seriously.

Well, Zielinski beat Biado in the Quarters today; plays Yapp tomorrow.

FSR vs. Ouschan
Yapp vs. Zielinski
