Small games for a year

Just saw this clip in my files of the, 'Old School Champions'!

The short examples of the, 'Chuck Nurse/Rail Nurse & 3 Cushion with a little fun added!

Things are going well with learning and I've made a lot of progress. I have to say that balkline is a lot of fun. Once you get the courage to draw lines on your table, you get a great game out of it.

I think I won't need the balk lines until I run 200 at straight rail or 50 consistently. What is your high run at straight rail?

You should try it anyway. It is still a fun game even if you haven’t mastered any others. Straight rail and the free game are dominated by getting into the American position and maintaining it. Balkline eliminates this and forces you to learn returns right away. The American position is just a mini return configuration.

I don’t know what my straight rail high run is. I never tried.

I just played for 20 minutes and got 11, 11 and 17 out of 10 games with random starting positions. Not great yet.

Funny America only care about 3C!!! Not Balkline, Straight Rail, 4 Balls ... Just 3 C.

Both Bob Jewett and I had Promoted all Carom games .. But it return back to THREE CUSHION BILLIARDS.

And to be honest My Brain Been spinning with the numerous books, youtubes, and pdf there are for carom billiards!!!

Good Luck to both Bill "Mr3Cushion" Smith and Bob Jewett.... The more you explain... the more ... questions.... as someone once said we are a student of Carom Billiards... there no end (endly) what might happen
