Yup, Bill, I'm headed to the US Open 9ball. First five days of a Matchroom major usually has no primary arena, and I tend to focus on the outer tables. No idea where I'll be sitting on day six.
He can return next year.

Why have a car if you're staying all week? If you drive in, you can find free/cheap parking elsewhere in the city, or parking at a friend's house (mine happens to own a Mansion in Dallas)... At the same time, it's only 60-80k points for a room , so if your room is free you just pay parking.
I'll be in the presidential suite, if any top players want to swing by and have a drink on me, take photos, make connections for a possible backer/stakehorse (I'm based in Denver) just shoot me a DM. I'm friends with people like Piggy Banks (actually helping him make a book).. you'll know me by the exotic bright colored gator, croc, and ostrich leg shoes I wear. Plus I have the presidential suite at Embassy for the weekend, and seems only have 1 of those in the building.

Who's out: Johann Chua, Ko Pin Yi, Ko Ping Chung, Anton Raga. Chua and Ko Pin Yi were semifinalists in 2025, but they have thrown their lot in with Chinese Duya 9-ball.

Pool will, indeed, get its closeup on the ESPN cable network when ESPN2 airs the US Open Pool Championship final match live and in its entirety, Sunday, Aug. 30.
According to World Nineball Tour promoter Matchroom Pool, the addition of the US Open finale on ESPN2 to the already announced streaming of the tournament on the ESPN+ direct-to-consumer platform will bring pool to its biggest broadcast platform yet in the U.S.
The US Open championship match is scheduled to air live from 4-7 CDT (5-8 EST). “Having the final on ESPN2 Is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the drama, personalities and elite competition that makes 9-ball so compelling,” said Matchroom Multi Sport CEO Emily Frazer. “We’re excited to build on the momentum of Matchroom’s events on ESPN and continue to grow the sport in the United States.”
Prior to the final, each round of the five-day event will be streamed from four tables, with Table One airing on ESPN+ as well as WNT TV (and select global broadcast partners). Tables Two and Three will stream exclusively on WNT TV, and Table Four will be available on both TalkSPORT YouTube channel and the Matchroom Pool YouTube channel.
Pretty cool. I'm still signing up so I can catch as much as possible, but seeing the final on ESPN the deuce... what year is it?

Dennis is just a month younger than David Alcaide, who won a major last year at the WNT Philippines Open and was on Team Europe at the 2025 Mosconi. Both are 47 at present.
Age is just a number.
Never doubt a Filipino.
Age seems to affect them less than others in regards to pool ability.
Efren won the World 9Ball title at 44 or 45 I believe, as well as multiple MOT titles at DCC while in his 40's.
Ronnie Alcano still played great as he got older, so did Alex, Busty, Parica, etc.
They're just build different.
Warren Kiamco won the Derby City 9ball at 45. Francisco Bustamante was 54 when he was Derby City Master of the Table and over 60 when he won the Jay Swanson Memorial.
