What played out.
I haven't been to a real pool room for a long time.
I'm gonna be moving, back to 9' tables all I want to do Now is.
1. climb the old ladder
2. Get others who think they can beat play for time Only rule.... loser racks.
3. It's your move.....

The beauty of once having notoriety and now being older, is that young guns now think they can take you, and look at you as a way of developing a reputation.

As Maha said, there’s a lot of money that can be made showing them that was a foolish thought, without ever having to catch a gear.

So many times I was working at a tournament and someone would ask me if I play pool. Ha Ha! They found out, but not for free. Sometimes only a race for 100, but sometimes 50 or 100 a game!

Platis harassed me to play 1K a game One Pocket I had never bet that much and didn't have the bankroll to do it. I knew I could beat him. He had challenged me to play some 9-Ball with him when he came down early to warm up for his match. He had to talk me into it because I had work to do. He says practice but for 25 a game. 400 later he quits and after that is when he tried to high roll me.

A few months later I sold some property and got a check for 48K. Next time he asked I said okay. He didn't like it so much later.

You know as well as I do that in the world of gambling at pool, there is always a certain segment of players, many that play very well, that have a deep seated subconscious need to lose.

They either make bad games to ensure it up front, or even when they have the best of it, they always seem to find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It’s like a disease they’re not even aware they have. Harry was like that.

There was a guy in New Jersey like that.
He owned a paving company so he had money and he played pretty good.
Always booked a loser and was on every road mans to do list.
I saw him go off $4K or more and in the '80's that was big money.

I'm looking at it like Agassie did yrs ago in tennis when he quit, then started playing in B level tennis events, to back to normal play.

I'm just trying to play one more time, allot.
I thought I could fix what I had, but was wrong already had it.
