I Missed/Easy Shot

A missed easy shot is a wake up call. It gets a quick ass says mint without emotion. Then sit with my game face on and hope for another chance. Showing disappointment or anger at a missed easy shot gives an opponent confidence. Laughing when I want to cry can leave an opponent confused.
Just yesterday playing APA 9 ball, I missed the rack on my first break. The cueball went straight into the corner at 90 mph. 🤷‍♂️ Well I was a little too tight. I recovered and won the match but still amazed that I could miss the entire rack And scratch dead in the corner. Shrug 🤷‍♂️
Being APA rules ignorant I wasn't sure if I got another swing at the break shot as nothing was disturbed. A mild chuckle as I handed over the break to an equal rated opponent was my solution. While he broke them I had time to think about what I had done. The technical term for it is, Ready ...Shoot ...Aim!

We hit that white ball (or yellow😐) so many time, virtually anything can happen and often, something you never thought possible reveals itself too.

Cant let the errors bring down the successes....move on.

It does happen. I have been playing inconsistently these past few weeks and im suffering from this horrible colds. 3 things that get me for missing easy shots is overcomplicating things rather than making the shot. Second, knowing of you missed the shot that you know you won't have another chance again. Third, doing all the hardwork of getting in position from a difficult position, only to end up missing the last and easiest shot. I guess, it's just my competitive nature or treating sports seriously.

Overthinking it can often create an issue where there wasn't one.

I know the feeling, just had the perfect 3 ball breakout to run out, I thought I got this now, made the next ball but missed position badly, missed my next shot, with all my balls mostly gone my opponent had a near wide open table, went from a break and run to losing the game from one careless thought.....

Analysis paralysis...

I've gotten to the point where I don't even think about it. Doesn't register. Just keep making balls.😉
If I over or undercut a shot, when the shot comes up the next time (always does).... I remember and correct.

If there's No cost when I miss, I tend to not correct my mistakes as well.

There was a short period where my left hand was my stall. 🤷‍♂️ Well through practice and forged in Fire practice in the one and two dollar 9 ball ring game. It didn't take long for even lefty kicked out of the game. 🤷‍♂️
Now Lefty gets the call when it's....the bottom of the 9th. The bases are loaded. The score is tied. I am at the plate. There are 2 outs and the count is 3 and 2.
🤷‍♂️ You Gotta Want to be the person at the plate. With bat in hand.
