This set of Snap magazines in the first pic is arguably one of the coolest things I’ve bought lately. All in perfect condition with no shipping labels on the front or back. I’ll be going through them for a few weeks before framing them all for display. Love this kind of stuff. Thank you to the AZ’er who was willing to let go of this time capsule set of pool history.

Also, I posted in the wanted section but figured I would piggy back off this thread as well. If anyone has the posters in the second and third pics for sale, please send me a private message.

I have some extra copies of some of the issues if anyone is trying to complete their collection.

I really enjoyed the Snap when it came out- I still have my copies, some great articles on pool cues too!

It really is a great magazine. Been wanting a set of these for years.

Been trying for years to get the "Foot on the Floor" poster. https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/poster-one-foot-on-the-floor.276202/

They’re out there. Might take a while but I’ll find one. I bet that snap poster would be the harder of the two to find.

I have one complete set of On The Snap that I would consider selling. All 13 issues in very good condition. Make me an offer I can't refuse. :)

I used to have most if not all of them. I still have a couple of them but they are in kinda rough condition. I have no clue what I did with the rest of them

Hello, I am new to this group however, I have been searching everywhere for a copy of the billiards on the snap magazine.
I am specifically looking for a volume one issue number three. It was an 1990 February /March edition.
I am interested in the magazine because I am from North Carolina and during that time there were four local young men that were featured in the magazine as up-and-coming billiards players. My husband happened to be one of the younger players and unfortunately his copy was destroyed and I’m looking to Purchase a copy for sentimental reasons.
If anyone on the forum has any information on where I could chat to possibly obtain the magazine I would certainly appreciate it.
Also, I would be willing to send someone money for finding out if they would be willing to take their copy and have it printed and bonded and sent to me.
Thanks everyone for any assistance you can give to me!
Sincerely
Sandy

I wonder if my old friend Frank McGowan was ever listed in any articles by any chance ?
I realize its a long shot but nothing ventured nothing gained right .
Thank you for your time in advance !

Probably not. I think by the time of the magazine, McGown had moved to Montana and the magazine was based in Florida.

You’re a Saint Sandy.

Apparently, the issue in question has a cover featuring a lobster trap containing pool balls instead of lobsters.

Somebody must have a mild recollection and a dusty box in the garage.

I hope so—- i’ve been searching hard everywhere and it’s very difficult finding info-
It may be Vol 1 issue 4.
But I do believe Johnny archer is on the cover of that magazine. You would think with so much technology these days someone would have at least put a copy of them for sale or publication on a website somewhere. But thank you so much for your information. I really appreciate you responded and sending information..

Hello Bob,
Could you please confirm if you have any issues from volume one? I think it’s got Johnny archer on the front cover. Thanks for any information you can provide.

Hello Rusty-
Is Frank McGowan on his phone by chance and could we just you know take a chance and see if you might have some issues. I just don’t want to leave any stones unturned or give up until I have exhausted all resources in avenues to try to obtain the issue.
Thanks so much again for responding so promptly and all the information that you did provide I really appreciate it.
