Why not switch the position of the 1 and 9 in 9-ball to make it more interesting?

These guys patently eschew big omelets (my new expression for BnR packs). All the guys on tour pass all kinds of bnrs. I think they'd rather stay in the game than blow it on glory. They will economize fuel and systematically work the opposition, picking off the inevitable gains.

Buddy Hall said he ran six (I heard one handed behind the back but that's not reliable info), ran six and who beat him?

Have no idea where this goes. I'd frankly rather string 50 racks every time I get up. :p

All well and good at the Texas Open, but that's not the highest level of play. As you note, on 4 1/2" pockets, it's a different, and frankly, much easier game.

As noted in another thread, combining the stats at the last two WNT majors (Arizona Open, US Open 9ball), per At Large stats, the breaker won 234 racks out of 394 racks played, or 59% of the racks played. The breaker's advantage in today's WNT nine ball is really not that great and any suggestion that players are spending many racks at a time in the chair does not hold up to scrutiny.

Again, per At Large stats at the recent US Open 9ball, at least one safety was played in 48% of the racks. There's a lot of back and forth in WNT play today, and it is because the break (nine of the spot with narrow break box) is difficult, not easy. In the 198 racks At Large tracked, only twice did a player run more than a three pack. Yes, the players can still make the one in the side, but they are finding shape on the two ball far less often than they did before Matchroom went to 4" pockets with the current breaking rules.

Its a fun game between two players. When you first arrive at the table your allowed to shoot any ball to get shape for the next lowest ball then run out like normal.
You might even have to shoot the nine in first to get shape for the one ball, nine would of course respot.

This is funny, you start with you weren't aware that members here are retarded and then proceed to state something that makes your OP moot... You can't make this $h17 up.

Yeah... makes sense, most special olympics contestants aren't aware that they're really special until it's pointed out.
