    What is your cue tip?

Kamui - for me its the Medium though Reason? Well, plays awesome straight away, very very little 'break-in' period and holds its shape well. Little to no maintenance and holds chalk very well.

    Kamui - new tips

Kamui are the best tips on the market...bar none Been playing with them now for 2-2.5 years, and aslong as they stay in Business and keep making them, I will forever use them. Always use a Kamui Medium (not a Black Kamui Medium) and I havent needed to maintain the tip at all, I have had the tip...

    Draw stroke: tip or shaft?

For me, I find I can play draw shots with alot less effort with a LD shaft compared to my Maple shaft. I had been using Maple for about 3-3.5 years and could draw quite well. On longer draw shots, I had to put a hell of alot more effort in to achieve this, and at times with me putting as much...

Oh, not another Performance Shaft Thread...

Thanks for the reply guys :) Well, I have just got back from the Pool club, and having ago with the OB1. Have to say, for an LD shaft, the feel you get is as they have advertised on their website. I was able to adjust very quickly on all shots barring medium length hard top right/left english...

Oh, not another Performance Shaft Thread...

Hi All, To cut a story short, I am a Maple shaft guy and have been for past 3-3.5 years. I play with a Wayne Holmes custom cue with a Maple shaft. Prior to this I played with a Kenny Murrell with a Maple shaft, and even more prior to that, I was playing with a Lucasi with a Predator 314 shaft...

New cue ... new way to look at 4 points...

For me, the cues and cases do nothing for me. The cues seem abit 'all over' the place. I think if they are for decoration, they look fantastic. Just my opinion ;) Cases are cool, and very different :)

Ultimate 10 Ball Championship from Aruba happening NOW!!!

Chavez handed the match on a plate to SVB. It didnt look like Shane was playing as good as he has in the past, but still a good performance non the less. I dont understand Chavez's decision with BIH at 11-10 down...why oh why place it there! Such a high percentage shot on the in-off. Well...

What is a good way to get in the zone

I have been reading a few books about the mental side of sports and a technique that I have read I think is very basic yet very effective. Sit in a comfortable position staring at a spot on a wall or whatever catches your eye (as long as it doesnt move!). Now count back from 100 to 0, then...

What ball do you look at last before shooting?

Since starting pool some what 5 years ago, I was always looking at the white ball when shooting. This was down to the fact I am a 4 eye guy (glasses wearer) - it was easier to focus on the CB than OB. I have recently started wearing contact lenses and was still doing the same thing (looking at...

    Joint protectors

The reason why pro's might not screw on joint protectors at a tournament is due to playing again after their match. Thats one theory, the other is like prpavi said, some dont pay for their equipment. I think having Joint Protectors is more of a styling of a cue when presented to other people...

    FS-Rodney Morris’-Mark Bear Jump cue

Bump for a really nice playing jump cue. I have had a few jumps with this and have achieved very good results. If I was in the market for a jump cue, I'd seriously consider this one after using it.

    Greatest straight pool player alive

Thorsten Hohmann is (in my opinion) the best 14.1 pool player alive today. I have watched many YouTube vids and seen some DVD's of the likes of John Schmidt, Mike Sigel etc, and I think the way Hohmann playes the game, is enjoyable to watch :) The latest video I have found on YouTube - Hohmann...
