How would you play JoeyA, in a match for $1000.00 race to nine games?

For only a thousand? I guess I'd lay down a good stall for the first two sets. Then I'd throw down $5000 on the table and ask him if he'd like to try and clean me out. When he accepts then I'll ........ oh wait ........ Sorry guys. I was dreaming again.

    Las Vegas locals.

Lance, where have you been all this time? If you don't find anyone who has their own pool table to spar with, you can go to Mickey's. It's pretty nice and very few folks are looking to make a big money game. Best Billiards is also a good choice but if you go, try out their incredible Italian food.

    Mosconi's run

I have to think that Mosconi is up there somewhere scratching his head wondering why the high run is getting so much attention. He had all those championships, an excellent exhibition record and was a technical advisor for a popular movie. Yet the high run is talked about more than anything -...

    Pool Halls in Reno?

It doesn't matter if Keystone is still open, you'll want to go to Diamonds. It's a true old-school pool room. Good equiment, good players and friendly staff. If you can corner Warren "the Monk" into giving a lesson, you'll learn a hellava lot. He and Jeff Heath like to play One-Pocket on the...

    The Best player from Hawaii...

I learn something new all the time here ... I didn't know this. That explains a lot, actually. Hawaiian Brian was one of the toughest money players in his day, yet very few people realize it. If you learned the game from Brian, you learned from one of the best!

Thanks for Making TAR 21 a Great Match

Some of the best entertainment value I've seen I just gotta say that I really enjoyed this match. The level of play, the production and the commentary were all excellent. Also, I'm glad bobbycotton got some air time. He can talk about pool like few others can. Next up? How 'bout an all-round...

    Baltimore Jerry

"Baltimore Jerry" Hanna It took a while but I finally found reference to Jerry in an old pool newspaper. His last name was Hanna but most folks would only remember him as Baltimore Jerry. He was a big fella with a powerful game. I don't know when he was in Baltimore but then, very few people...

    Denver pool room update-"Felt"

Nowhere to stay I was traveling through the Denver area last week and stopped in to Felt. The place looked fine and I decided I would get a room nearby and return for the evening. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any major hotel chains in the area and just skipped the whole idea. I ended up...

    George "One More Time" Middleditch

George left a lasting impression on me after I saw one of his traveling trick shot shows. This must've been back in the early 80's. Very entertaining. Sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to his family.

TAR 21: Pagulayan vs Van Boening. THE REMATCH !!!

Desparate to see this live ... OK Justin, I'd really like to have a seat at the studio for this event. I understand you're working on this but what do I need to do? You want me to commentate? You need help with the cameras? You need someone to clean the toilets? Just let me know. Oh hell, just...

    Why Not Share Your Secrets?

Share secrets??? No way!!! Some secrets are just too valuable to give up only because they took a long time to discover them. Years ago when I played often I hardly ever gave up a lot of secrets. Now that I'm old, I don't mind giving up some secrets if I like the player and I see that he/she...

Lookin For Old Video Of Walter Glass

I'd be surprised if there were any old videos of Walter. He dominated Las Vegas pool for many years. In the 80's many road players would come through Vegas and knew they could get a game with Walter. Very straight shooter in his day and played all the games very well, except for maybe 1-Pocket.
