Dont agree about 4th and fifth hand information. Mike Kennedys account and Pumpkinheads account of events seem to be the same as to what originally happened. The only controversy is not the originals happenings of events but why the vids have not been returned. I think almost all AZers would of...

    Tips? just a Fad?

I would be interested in a pair of those low deflection gloves. Always looking to improve my game. No need for the glasses as I remove mine when shooting and put them back on afterwards. Please keep me in mind. Thanks Rod

What is the best mass Production cue in term of feel and playabilty?

My vote goes to Schon. Also have hit with a few early model (80s) McDermotts that hit real good.

Worst conditions ever for a tournament..........

OK, heres my maybe dumb question. At a 100 degrees and high humidity, wouldnt that be detrimental to keeping a cue straight. No way do I stick around 4 hours for a tournament with no AC. Chesapeake ,Va. asking and we got up to 103 today and tomorrow forecast hotter. My cue would be out of that...

    "you shoot to slow"

slow play I dont mind slow play as long as my opponent is on a learning curve. We all have to learn to see patterns and stratagies. What gripes my butt is playing someone with 10, 15 or 20 years experience and they stand there and study the table for 1-2 minutes like they have never seen a pool...

    Earl Strickland News

He has always been a tremendous talent. Pool sometimes can be a boring sport of pocketing balls and playing position. Any pro player can do that. For all his rants and raves Earl adds excitement to pool. It probably wouldnt be too bad to have a couple of more pro players that could add...

good thing ballplayers arent as picky as poolplayers

You have diversified. If the cue making business were to show signs of slowing down any, you have added another idea of woodturning to pick up the slack. Very resourceful.

    14 hours no power & 100 degrees

You got me beat. Chesapeake, Va. my home lost power only 12 hours and it was overnight, so outside temp was only 88-90. Still it wasnt a picnic. 4 million without power in Va., so I too was lucky to get it restored quickly.

    Jean Balukas

I think that Jean was holding her own pretty decent against the men at that time. Hard to think even with many more women players today that Jean would not still be a force to be reckoned with. I dont see todays female players wanting to tangle with the mens side of pool.

    SVB 7:9 lost

and the man could definately pitch. Never lost a world series game he pitched.Think 3-0, era of either 1.00 or slightly under. When he batted around as a pitcher they found out he could hit. The rest as they say is history. The sultan of swat
