Glad to see you got your power back Brent. Now chill the beer and enjoy some of this weekend.

Glad your ok, we had 90+ mph winds here. I lost 90 percent of the roof on my shop, slight damage to the House but no one was hurt.We lost power for 26 hours, Needless to say I have one huge mess to contend with. we soaked all the machinery with WD40 and covered everything inside with tarps. We had a crew out Saturday and the got the building covered with tarps. Hopefully we can get materials by Friday to get the Roof back on.
They are already talking about the possibility of mold and if they have to open the walls it is going to be a huge pain in the ass.

oh, now i get the powerlineman thing :grin:I've been on BOTH ends, lucky me
Glad you aren't dogging the power workers like that mayor was doing on t.v. the other day. If he only knew half of what we go through, he wouldn't have opened his mouth.
Just be glad it wasn't worse, 1 year and 3 months ago we lost over 150 people just in our state from a powerful F4 and F5 tornado. It could have been worse too.
I know I am tired of this heat though! I'm coaching the local high school baseball team now and we played a summer game Saturday with double innings (6 outs per inning) and it was 105 here! MISERABLE!
I feel for you guys without power though. Lord knows we've spent enough time without it over the years with tornadoes, hurricanes, ice storms, etc. I do wish I was working this storm though in the East, the overtime is nice but the work sucks. 100+ hours a week, hours and hours away from home, crappy hotels and boxed food, and on and on.
oh, now i get the powerlineman thing
just kidding !
actually the guys that got me back live were brought in from north carolina
or it could have been even longer
Yep that's where it came from:wink:
What color were the trucks? Do you remember? Were they yellow?
i dont know
i wasnt home
i bailed out hours earlier and went to my friends pool
