I like my cue to "tink". Its a combination of cue construction and tuning the tip. I've got a full splice Hoppe conversion with a Tiger Emerald that has that perfect resonance that I think sounds great! IMHO:cool: Normally though, the harder the tip the higher the tone is the rule.

You might consider the future of jump sticks before putting up a lot of money. Rules are moving away from any non leather like tips and more and more tournaments don't allow them. Don't mean to pour water on your fire but a serious look at the proposed market might be in order. Good luck.

Yeah I was watching that shot last nite to. In fact i posted 'jump it'. Made me think of this dvd.

I have the DVD of Efren and Frost race to 8 for 5K. Somewhere in the match Scott whips out a jump stick and makes a shot. Up until then I had thought jumping was not legal in 1 pocket. I finally checked the rules and found that jumping is legal but only with your playing cue. special jump sticks...
