Very well stated, I agree and would add we do not have a national code book or even a basic set of industry standards. No formal training programs for service people. No testing by independent review boards. No licence required. As a result, lots of bad and sub standard work. Jay

Very risky! Any process that you do after re-clothing the rails will put the rail cloth a risk of staining. I would strongly suggest you finish at least the edge of the rail adjacent to the feather strip, an inch or so will do. Then cover that area along with the new rail cloth with painters...

I used the hood leather pocket, doesn't mark your shaft and holds 9 balls. Very easy to shoot over as well Jay
