    IPT sold to reputed "gangster"

So many people continue to knock KT and the IPT. As far as I know all the players have recieved their money. It has been the best thing to happen to pool. The $ potential for the players is so far beyond what they had in the past that there is no comparison. If there is not another tournament it...

    Updates from Mobile, AL

Too bad Cooney retired. They matched up in 1 Hole and Jame's backers were not very happy. But that was quite awhile ago.

    Talisman Tips Breaking Down

I'm sorry to hear about the delamination as I was thinking about going back to them. I had one on my cue for 2 yrs and when I switched it looked almost new. Should have left it on.

New Prewitt - Thanks, Martin! =)

Glad that you noticed the difficulty Justin. The cue is stunning just like all of Ed's work seems to be. His rings take his cues out of the realm of plain janes. I see examples of his excellent workmanship at Hard Times all the time. I've only met Martin once but all the feedback I hear about...

New Prewitt - Thanks, Martin! =)

H.S.I.O.W., Thanks. The 1st photo of the wrap looked much lighter than the close up. It closely resembled a cork wrap Ernie G. did for a friend of mine.

Is the wrap leather or cork?

    Physical/Mental endurance at the IPT

I agree with Onepocketchump. I don't think anyone loves the game more than Efren! When he is in So Cal he will give up outrageous spots to get games. He just flat loves to play pool!! When things get tough he is still doing what he loves. Hard to overrate this advantage.

This thread reserved for JAM's IPT updates

Thanks Jam. It's people like you that overide others who post on this site and seem to live in the land of "Negativity" Miss Keith out here on the left coast. Hope he stays down and catches a gear! Your posts are special.

Name your TOP 5 IPT Las Vegas players. Who's your dark horse?

I've only seen a couple of people mention Oliver Ortmann. If he plays like he did in the qualifier at Hard Times he will be awfully tough. He only lost to Orcollo and Dennis had to make a very tough run out in the final game. He should not be overlooked!

    Cork Wrap

I had a cork wrap on a cue made by Guido Orlandi and I loved it He did such a good job on the wrap that it was virtually impossible to find a seam! I had the cue for about 3+ years and it held up remarkably well. I finally sold the cue when I got my Tad. He also did 3 cues for a friend and they...

    Glove recommendations?

Ther used to be a guy in So. Cal who made an excellent glove. The glove was called Blackman. The guy moved to Henderson, NV and I haven't seen his glove since. The glove was slick and durable. Anybody hear of him?

I think my eyes are wacky!

I have had a problem for quite sometime now of being slightly off to the right when getting down on the CB. This causes me to miss many easy shots. The only way for me to rectify the problem is to adjust slightly to the left and then lay the tip directly on the cloth below the CB and check the...

what is the best gambling match you have ever seen?

Watched Cooney and Toby match up at HT. The game was either 8 or 10 ahead. The 1st night Toby was 6 ahead and it looked as if Jack had no chance. I had to leave early in the morning and on the way out I saw "Little Al" Romero and commented that it looked as if Jack was out of the match. Al shook...

    Aramith Pro Cup "MEASLES" ball

I always get the Blue Dot ball as I am trying to learn 1 Pocket and I just plain don't like the measle ball. I have floaters in my right eye and I don't need any extra dots! On another forum a guy by the name of Dr.Dave who is an engineering professor at a university in Colorado wrote a long...

The proper way to pronounce Orcollo

The last game Dennis played against Oliver O. at the HT IPT qualifier was a thing of beauty. He manuevered the CB amongst a tight group of balls effortlessly. Dead on shape on every ball and never touched another ball. It would not be suprising to see him equal Efrens achievements--but he has...
