    New Falcon NS-7

If Falcon prices were that good back in 1998, then I got into the sport a decade too late. I can just imagine the collection I'd have now if a cue like the NS-7 was just $370. :D Now if that was dealer pricing, then that's more in line with what the seller paid for it. Did Falcon ever use...

    New Falcon NS-7

I do like the cue. In fact, I think it will be my "forever cue". I'll likely collect others, but this design (and the BS-8) are my favourite out of the Falcon cues I have seen. Thanks for your help. :)

    New Falcon NS-7

Gotcha. Well the most intricate of the Niagara Series looks to be the NS-8 or NS-7; the poster from the Wunderlich site highlights the NS-7 forearm inlays. Assuming the NS-7 was at the higher end of things, would it have been around a $7-800 cue (Falcon MSRP)? Now I'm starting to question...

    New Falcon NS-7

Okay, no worries. I was just wondering how the O-1 price compared to the current price of the BS-1. Does the BS-8's $1100 price tag seem too high for the NS-7?

    New Falcon NS-7

Yeah, it does. The inlay design on the butt is different though, and the Ottawa 1 looks like a Banff BS-1. Do you have the MSRP for the O-1?

    New Falcon NS-7

The Falcon website has both CAD and USD MSRPs listed, but the Niagara Series info is long gone. The Banff Series BS-8 is listed for $784 USD / $1176 CAD, but I don't know how different it is and whether cue prices have gone up since 1998. Thanks, it would be great if I could find out that...

    New Falcon NS-7

Thanks, I had hoped it was one of the older Mississauga-made cues. When I got my AC cue I think it was mere weeks before Falcon shut down their Mississauga plant. Do your old catalogs show prices? I'm interested to know what Falcon priced it at when it came out.

    New Falcon NS-7

I think it is an older series. I got it used; traded my Falcon AC-14 and paid $300 on top of that. I rarely jump and always use a playing cue when doing so, so I had no use for a jump/break AC-series. The seller mentioned that she paid $650 for it. The only mention of the Niagara Series I...

    New Falcon NS-7

Just traded my old Falcon cue for this one, part of their Niagara Series. ^click on this one to enlarge Does anyone know when this series came out and what the Canadian MSRP was for the NS-7? I can't find anything on this series, although this cue looks a lot like the Banff Series BS-8.

    YouTube - Luc Salvas

Luc has to be my favourite Canadian player to watch play. Although I tried his style and speed once before and it took about a week for my stroke to recover :D

    My Lesson with Earl

I take that to mean Earl's standard shaft configuration, where the "pro taper" goes almost the entire length of the shaft. So the only taper would be just a few inches from the joint.

Why is it that average players always feel like they should instruct you.

You utter bastard! Yeah, I'll probably try this sometime :p

    Foul or not

I don't think this situation is covered by Texas Express, but I'm pretty sure under BCA rules, it is a foul of your cue touches any object ball before, during, or after a jump/masse shot, regardless of whether you're playing cue-ball-fouls or not and whether the fouled ball crosses the path of a...

    Practicing without chalk

Interesting. Does hitting with an unchalked tip damage the tip or balls in any way? I've heard of chunks ripped out of tips from a miscue, but I think that's from hitting way too low - not something you'd do without chalk.
