    I have a 19.5 ounce sledgehammer. i like the weight. i dont like really light break cues because of loss of control and i dont like really heavy break cues because of loss of power. i think 19.5 is perfect for me. for me its the perfect balance of power and control. JMHO FWIW.

    Bill Haley told me that the pockets they use are the tightest they can be by BCA limitations. I dont go there that often and when I do I usually play on pocket on the triple shimmed table.

    I like a stiff shaft. I grew up playing straight pool and its what im accustomed to. I cant stand shafts like Meucci.

    a few weeks ago at the hampton ridge event in NJ i saw the Schon logo on his shaft. the points were very round so it looks like its a schon.

    you might want to consider the 2x4. you might need more space for a break cue, jump cue, extra shaft etc. always good to have extra space.

    i like textured leather. i shot with a linen wrapped cue for years but i made the switch to leather and i love it. also, i think it adds a touch of class to any cue. dont care much for lizard.

    Jack was a true gentleman. I met Jack about 30 years ago at Westend Billiards in Elizabeth NJ. Jack was a family man and always had time to help anyone out with their game. This years tournament wont be the same without him.

    johnny used to be a good guy. now hes a cry baby. at VF he was down big to shannon daulton and was whining came back to win and he was still whining. and anyone who was at turning stone this year saw how he acted when he lost to dennis hatch. i dont know what happened to him.

    seems everyone here from jersey plays with a skip. im from hoboken and i play with a skip as well. although not as pretty as zacks. just a 4 pointer with veneers. i havent seen skip play in like 30 years but he used to play jam up straight pool.
