    Do you notice something fishy???

"APA Camel Classic" is an amateur event, I believe, since APA is a league/organization for amateurs. I think Camel sponsored both professional and amateur events back then. Someone correct me if I am wrong. EG

Pool instructors and their level of play??

Somewhat Off-Topic This brought up an interesting question I've always had about great players such as Mosconi: if Mosconi taught very few people, is it because he was incapable or unwilling to teach them? I ask this because it seems that sometimes the better players are not willing to teach...

    week at APA in vegas

I agree with Troublemaker. I watched a few games of one of their matches and Gary set her shots up perfectly every time. I do not think (in the games I saw) she had to do much more than stop the cue ball each time. Of course, for some of us (myself included), I'm thrilled to make a successful...

    AZB King of Cali...

Posting up $500 against anyone, as you put it, is very admirable. If you are not afraid to put in such money for a tournament, why not put up the same against someone in a gambling match? I feel a tournament is not so different from gambling. In the case of this tournament, which I believe was...

    AZB King of Cali...

Jaden, it seems the easiest way to resolve all this confusion for everyone is to have Frank Dabarbr post that he asked you to play in this event, his reasons for inviting you (or offering the open spot, I am not sure which applies), as well as an accurate assessment of your skill as it compares...

    AZB King of Cali...

What does this mean? Do you mean to say you play better when there is no money at stake? You could approach gambling as a two-man tournament if that is the case. Perhaps you finish high in tournaments? If so, what tournaments? EG

    BCA Pro Event Qualifiers?

Anyone know if these are being held this year for men? I searched the internet and found two qualifier events for ladies, but none for men. If I remember right, there are usually four qualifiers each for women and men. Who's in charge of the Pro event now?

    Vbookie events

Shh! Be vewy, vewy quiet! I'm hunting wombats! You should follow your own advice, and your advice applies to nearly every post you've ever made. I'm probably not the first one to comment on this, but your numerous inane posts has greatly reduced my reading enjoyment here at the forum. I hope...

    The UPA

I'm just wondering, How much do we think the UPA is worth? I don't expect to be told the actual amount, just wanted to incite some discussion. :)

Do You Think Handicapped Tourneys Ruined Pool

Those who need a comfort zone will stay in handicapped tournaments. Those who have the drive to be champions will seek out better players/tougher tournaments and have no fear of the challenges presented by either.

Most popular weight for a snooker cue?

I visited a snooker club recently and noticed that their house cues were all 20 oz. or heavier. I'm not sure if it was just the club's inventory, or perhaps that snooker players prefer heavier cue weights. I'm curious and interested to know your reasons.
