AZB King of Cali...

I am pretty sure you can be the king of $50 AZB Cali if you want to be, but that is worth about $0.0000000000000000000000002.

Perhaps it is of some great satisfaction to be the best player in your own home, but to make a public statement and challenge like this is arrogant and ignorant. IMO.

Nevertheless, enjoy!

WOW
So becuase its $50 a guy can't have some fun with his friends. The whole
point was just to get some AZers together and play a little pool.
There was not a Napolean conquest going on.

I went to a RSB "tournament"/ "get-together" in Atlanta a several years ago. I had a blast and still talk with some of the people I met there.
There was a winner but everyone knew the real reason for the event.

I think a SoCal AZ tourney would be fun and a great way to meet and connect with other pool players.

Off with your head!

Oh, that's right, this is not my Kingdom, sorry. :D

Hey Corey,

Can I stake you?

hilla

Damn it! I must of missed the other thread  .

Feel free to stake anyone who has more than 100 posts on AZB forums. Just so everyone knows, I have consistently lost playing for money. I still never ask for weight, because it's a mental thing that keeps me from winning and asking for weight wouldn't make a difference. I'm still willing to participate in this AZ event and will take any challengers until I lose and then I'll continue to challenge whoever the current title holder is if it's not me as often as I can afford it.

I'm kind of a Joke in San Diego because of how well I play but how often I lose money playing.

Wow! I'm glad you included Corey (1000+ posts) and Louis (191+ posts) as acceptable opponents.

OMGWTF says that the loser gets her tiara and can be labeled AZB QUEEN of California:smile: .

Yeah... I didn't make the rules...

The rules were anyone with more than 100 posts could participate. I'm not going to say, ohh louis can't play because he's too good. If I'm on my game I have a chance against either of those players and I doubt Louis would contest that for a single race to nine or whatever.....

However, Louis would have to come on AZ and challenge me 48 hours before the match for it to be valid.

What does this mean?

Do you mean to say you play better when there is no money at stake? You could approach gambling as a two-man tournament if that is the case. Perhaps you finish high in tournaments? If so, what tournaments?

EG

Yes it means that I play better when there is no money at stake.

I haven't been able to play in many tournaments. I do do well when I can. When playing for play even against better players I hold my own and sometimes win. The last time me and Dan Wallace played just for play, I'm pretty sure I ended up on top at the end of the session and I'm sure that he'll attest to that. He's told me before that I play about even with Sam Manoale.

Of course it could be argued that when someone who does play for money isn't playing for money they aren't playing their top game, but anyone that knows Dan, knows that he never slacks off, he doesn't like to lose.

That last statement is going to raise a lot of heckles from the san deigans who visit this site, but I didn't say it Dan did.

CJ a really good young player out of Riverside and I are friends and we've played some all night sessions before and he laughs and says that with the kind of weight that I could get if I asked for it I would never have to work again if I could play my game for money. He says that no one that he's talked to when I'm not around has a clue how good my game is.

That's not entirely true. The people that I can name off the top of my head who no how I play are Dan Wallace, Frank Dabarber, Chris Rose, Louis probably has an idea but he hasn't really seen my real game either because we were playing for something last time we played.

I'm not saying that I can keep the title for long at all, because again we are playing for $50 but I'll try and I'll keep trying to take it back if I lose it.

Jaden

I've been told that I have a lot of heart.

actually, let's see a few more who saw me play close to my game was at the la predator tenball qualifier, Tang Hoa, Danny K. Tim something. I don't know if OMGWTF saw me play or not. So I'm really to the point that I almost don't care....

Mr. Harper...

...please put on a "First of the Worst" tournament! And make sure the entry fee is $0.02 so I can afford it. I will pay in advance. Pennies are in the mail...

I'm mailing in my two cents as well. With any luck it'll be a two women tournament and I can at least finish SECOND! :D

Are you done tooting your own horn yet, or is there more? We obviously have a legend in the making. AZ'ers are on the edge of their seats...

I have only begun to toot my own horn Biattchh.... Again, I haven't seen a single challenge yet, so if you want to run your mouth then get someone to stand up.

Until then, I will get on here and toot my own horn every single day. In Fact, I' going to make a daily thread entitled. Tooting my own horn until someone steps up and challenges me.

You and I played at this year's Jay Swanson Memorial tournament. I knocked you out of the tournament on Saturday with a score of 7-0.

My name is Ray Robles.

I will be more than happy to play you, or am I not eligible.

Yep that is right you did...

Then challenge me to it. It should be an easy $50 for you....

Jaden.

Of course I'm not going to come to Arizona though, so if you are in Cali give me a call. 909-556-0274.

just in case you missed it. ( I see you changed it after you initially posted it)

If he is from AZ, can he actually challenge you even if it would be easy?

I will be in California on Labor Day weekend for either the Catherine Alden Memorial tournament at Shooter's in Riverside or Jay Helfert's tournament at Hollywood Billiards.

I would like to play you then, at either of the 2 places after tournament play has ended on one of the days.

Ray

BTW, the reason I'm even bothering to respond to this thread is because of the way you self-promote yourself and your game. I've seen you play a few times and have played you myself once. Perhaps you are going a little overboard with the "horn tooting". If it is meant as good fun and you are showing more of a dry sense of humor, then I would recommend some emoticons or a note indicating or implying that all this "tooting" is a bit tongue-in-cheek. JMHO.

You Sir are Officially Challenged!!! I am here to take your Tooting Horn!!

Challenge is $50 10ball --- I don't care the length and
and $50 One pocket again I don't care the length

All in good spirits and I know that I am the underdog here. I am hoping that you dog it as you say you do  May the best fat man win and I am the fat man!!

You chose the place. I can not play next week during the week but am free most of the time. Next week my boss is in town with me all week

Accept ?????
