I have been building for several years and i like the fact that when i go to use my Hightower lathes I do not have to worry about them...

    Lucasi Rings I assume you are talking about the stitch rings with metal bands above and below, in which case as with all metal rings they eventually will pop through the finish. This is caused by the expansion/shrinkage rate of metal as compared to wood and as time passes it eventually causes...

    Mike brought up a very good point...before you are done (getting a new shaft, joint work, etc) you may have put out more then it will cost to just get another cue with the hit that you are looking for.... Cliff

    Matt, I agree with Mase, you need to have really sharp tools...I also use a deluxe cuesmith and one of the first things I bought was carbide bits because they stay sharp longer...also I highly advise getting extra toolposts if you dont already have them...good luck Cliff
