you should be able to pick up a replacement insert from lowes/home depot or hardware store. They are usually located in the furniture repair bins. I've purchased some before for my tables. Don't remember the size so take one of the bolts with you. hope this helps.

If memory serves me right Ryan aka Ratcues posted a picture of what you might be looking for. Seems like he made it out of delrin and it fit snuggly into the spindle shaft on the left of the porpers. He is an a2zer maybe if I am correct he will repost his pics. greg

In the video it looks as if the butt collar is sticking out about a 16th in diameter from the shaft collar. Problem may be pin/insert not centered in butt/shaft. Rolling each piece or checking run out on lathe might give you a better idea if shaft or butt is the problem.

You may want to check out Pet Smart. I saw elk horn in the dog section that had some nice size pieces.They were selling it as chew bones for dogs. Hope this helps. greg
