★★ Scott Frost Challenges All Of Arizona & SVB ★★ $10,000

I strongly agree.....no one can beat Scott on the Diamond there at the Phoenix pool room.

A reality check is strongly needed here. Mitch Ellerman just beat Scott a few days ago on that table, in the finals, to win the Arizona State One Pocket Championship.

If they ever play again, anyone that wants to bet on Scott just PM me or find me in the action room. I don't care if it's 8/7 or even, I'm betting on SVB.

This all started yesterday when I posted some complimentary things about Mitch Ellerman on Facebook. Mitch has been playing very strong at all games in Arizona over the past couple of years, and I thought it would be nice to give him some "air time" for his accomplishments. As a little "icing on the cake" for his local fans - of whom he has many - I posed the question: Could Mitch now be considered the best all-around player in Arizona? I figured Scott wouldn't mind for a couple of reasons: 1. he has announced his "retirement" from pool more than once over the past couple of years, and 2. his recent rotation tournament showings haven't appeared to be as good as Mitch's. I thought Scott would graciously acknowledge that Mitch has become a legitimate contender for "The Crown."

I was wrong.

Scott is not only unwilling to "step aside" for Mitch, or any other "contender," he has spent the entire day asserting himself on Facebook as the still-reigning All-Around Champion of Arizona, as well as the best One-Pocket player in the world. I can't argue that, and I didn't argue it in the private messages that Scott and I exchanged on Facebook this morning. Scott and I are friends, and he was very perturbed with me for having the audacity to compare any of Mitch's accomplishments to his. Apparently, the rivalry between these two goes much deeper than I would have ever imagined.

Scott's Facebook challenge caught the attention of SVB this afternoon. SVB asked what kind of a spot he could get from Scott (in One-Pocket). Scott replied, "8/7." SVB immediately accepted and said they could play in Vegas in July. Scott said, No, let's play now. SVB said he didn't have time right now. And somewhere in there Scott managed to change the offer to playing EVEN. SVB quickly picked up on that and said that Scott was "too tough" to play even, and that he would only play 8/7, as offered.

And that's where it stood the last time I checked. We'll just have to wait and see if a match comes off.

This is all good stuff. Scott may be mad at me for what I did; but I'm sure he would admit that he hasn't had a reason to get this fired up in quite some time.

Nice post Roger.

It is a wait and see. I'm going to follow the "FB Wolfing Post" but thinking that it will subside and things will go telephonic ... then the silence for a bit ... then the announcement! I could be wrong; but, ....

One off challenge matches, professional boxing style with much hype and promotion, constitutes the best chance "professional" pool has to make players a living

Is his cue really that long or is he guarding a Castle?

nah he borrowed it from Earl for the one pocket pole vault challenge coming up this weekend! line is Scott can clear 2 Diamonds end to end.

if the SVB v Scott thing happens...my rules are...

1. always bet on the Phillipino player.
2. always revert to rule 1.
3. if SVB is involved revert to rule 2.

I'm glad to see that Scott is looking to get fired up again. Seems like that young lad, Hunter and his story has him motivated to help. I got a ton of respect for the freezer for for his recent contributions. *golf claps

Now in terms of best overall player in AZ... Ellerman is one hell of a player, can't argue if you say he's #1 at the moment, but in my opinion, Scott holds that spot still. And if Shane plays Scott i would love I see that match streamed. 9-7 spot though is ridiculous, play it even Shane, comon man

You're a little off on your spot there. Last time they played for 33 hours and broke even with Shane getting 8-7. Shane wants the same spot again because if they broke even why change the spot?? Makes sense to me.

Your info is off
They played 8 7 Svb won in 2 hours
Then they played 9 8 and broke even
But that was years ago
Now Svb wins even

I'm laughing at everyone that keeps saying Shane won't win at this...I'll bet my bank account @ 9-7 or 8-7. Probably even, too.

Even up in Vegas or 9-8 in Phoenix (home table advantage). These players should be able to work one of these games out, I hope.
