★ world 9 ball championship ★ qatar★

the organizers paid similar amount to free stream it for you guys, do you know how much they paid kozoom to do this?

After that match, does anyone still have complaints about alternate break?

I still prefer winner breaks, from a fan's perspective.

As great as that match we just saw was, it wasn't as exciting and dramatic as watching Wu run five racks and out to become world champion at age 16.

Congrats to Shane. He must still be playing good in order to beat little Ko so bad.

That match between Big Ko and Wu was awesome. Im looking forward to this final.

This would be a great question that I would love to know. Kozoom has done a GREAT job and I am thoroughly impressed even without commentators. :D

Only if Shane loses

It doesn't matter is he wins or loses he will still be the best player on the planet. The format still lends itself to very high variance and doesn't always identify the best player. I'm sorry that your limited IQ won't allow you to understand basic math principals and the fact that longer races will ALWAYS identify the better player over the long run.

Ko vs Wu was a awesome match.

Let's hope Captain America and the American Express roll on.

Good Luck, Shane

Anyone have any ideas why the stream won't come up on my computer? It worked on my iPad at home this morning for Shane's semi-final match. Now I'm at work without my iPad and I can't get it on my computer regardless of the browser I try. The webpage comes up but there is no score board, chat window, video window, etc.

I don't want to have to resort to trying to watch it on my iPhone.

The 30k winner's prize is a little offensive. You'd think the organizers could have pitched in a few more dollars for the prize fund.

Or they could pay 0 and not host the event at all. Cause like you know, pool on TV is an instant winner ! I bet they make thousands of the ticket sales too !

ROALMFAO,, the only person in this discussion that is limited is you and not just in IQ
If 2 players play 20 races to 9 and one wins 15 he's the better player period
Head to head MD is better than Shane the numbers have proved that
You don't have to have a race to 100 for rolls to equal out

Slide13 try this

I also had the same problem.
I am at a Resort with a slow WIFI connection and couldn't get on.

I made my Samsung Edge a Hot Spot and logged on.
Once I could see the pool tables, I connected to the Resort Internet.
It took a minute longer but It did come up.

I gotta say guys what a deserving upcoming final. These two are no strangers. SVB is in the middle of a sick gear and if it lasts he is the champion period. I think his blowouts may work against him in the event Ko shoots back at him. I'm gonna predict SVB to win if the difference is greater than 5 games and Ko to win anything closer than that.

Go USA Go USA Go USA!

you don't even understand what is being said, moron. If they played this tourney 100 times with the format as it is then Shane is going to win more times than anyone, but it's still probably only 10-15 times because the variance is so high with single elimination, alternate break. What is so hard to understand about short, alternate races favoring the weaker players? It's good for tv, yes, but the object is to keep the games closer. If it were changed to winner breaks format then Shane would be a HUGE favorite every year, even with the shorter races. FACT

I was having all sorts of problems trying to watch it at work earlier in the week too. Good thing today's matches arent during my work hour.

It might be due to the server blocking certain sites.

hard to argue this point... they are surely putting on the event at a loss.

But just saying... "the [Qatar] Ministry of Finance said the government ran a QR137 billion ($37.62 billion) surplus during its most recent fiscal year."

At any rate, the tournament got great players to come and resulted in fantastic rounds of 16, 8, 4, and now the final.
