Ko is a little heavy on the air strokes too, just like his fellow countryman who Dechaine played. Can't remember his name, but he was averaging 20+ airstrokes - I think it was Kevin

A little?

It was better in the semifinal match but clearly not here.

you don't even understand what is being said, moron. If they played this tourney 100 times with the format as it is then Shane is going to win more times than anyone, but it's still probably only 10-15 times because the variance is so high with single elimination, alternate break. What is so hard to understand about short, alternate races favoring the weaker players? It's good for tv, yes, but the object is to keep the games closer. If it were changed to winner breaks format then Shane would be a HUGE favorite every year, even with the shorter races. FACT

Well since WU has 2 and he was knocked out by Ko who has one and Shane who has zero the favorite is who ,,
Ko has already beat Shane in a winner break and he seems to be one who gets stronger the longer the match goes
I agree the alternate break keeps the match closer but if the same players continue to end up in the end thier the best players

A miss on a very tough two ball by SVB gave Ko an opening but Ko hung the three and SVB didn't pay a price for his error.

We're tied at 2-2.

I feel that this match would be a joke with winner break. The top breakers find it too easy to make a ball in nine ball with the magic rack.

With winner breaks every error is magnified. One error and it could be your last time at the table. I prefer that over.

Shane got a little lucky with the safe there. Ko almost makes an amazing kick, but leaves Shane with a tester. Shane gets out with some tough shots and ties it 3-3. Each player holding serve so far.

Shane is working a lot harder than Ko for his wins - 3 - 3 now.

What a cut on that 8 ball.

Uh oh Ref telling Ko to stop the patterns

SVB breaks them well but has to play a safety on the two. Fortunately, on this occasion, a stop shot will get the defensive job done. Ko sells out on his two rail kick and SVB gets control. SVB gets too straight on the three and must play short side shape on the five in the side. When he gets on the wrong side of the ball, the pattern falls apart, but three consecutive good shots bails him out. Gutsy runout by SVB. Well done!

We are tied, 3-3.
