1 year ago Jayson Shaw shocked the World.

He has a busy schedule. Ever since his book release its been challenging for him to get free time to post.

The Academy is working to train additional instructors based on his Academy's evidence based research and proven tournament methodologies.

In the future a textbook will be released and translated into all languages for the global community. Harrimans Academy is ambitious to do what the BCA failed to do. That is create a multilingual global pool community working towards player development, not billiard industry goals.

All I can say is the Academy is working 24/7 and everyone needs more rest.

If you want to help we are creating an educational content to support an international community and teach billiard history, billiard organization and billiard academics.

You do realize nobody is buying any of this and just screwing with your head right?

While I have no opinion on what is the correct table is to set a record on, I've always liked the look of that table style. To me, that is a gorgeous table.

Yes, what a great occasion it was when Jayson set the record. I'd be delighted to see Jayson beat 714 at some point, but I'm also curious whether others (Filler and Gorst in particular) can do the same. I'm also keen on seeing what some of the top ladies can run.

The Legends of 14.1 remains a winning idea that is bringing positive attention to straight pool.

Mosconi did not really like pool but saw it as a way to support his family.
If we had a prime Mosconi alive today and offered him $100,000 to run a 1000 balls he would try until his hands were bleeding.
I found that interesting about Mosconi when I rad “The Hustler and the Champ.” After his father had him perform from the time he was a kid, Willie grew to dislike pool. Since he didn’t have any other skills that could pay the bills the same way pool did, though, he kept playing, and Brunswick put him under contract. With two kids to support, Mosconi saw his duty to provide, so he kept playing, and spent most of his life on the road, competing and performing in exhibitions.

The other interesting thing was that he had no intention of setting a new record that night during that exhibition, as he already owned the record (in competition no less), and was tied for second as well. Willie just wanted to put on a good show for the room owner, and didn’t want to stop while he was in a groove.

The backstory is that Willie had a very good reason to break the record that night. I think he mentions it in his autobiography.

Are you referring to what Willie called a "maverick affair"? I'll summarize the story in the book. Willie was the reigning world champion. The BCA had decided to sanction no championship tournament or challenge matches in 1954 (money problems). So Irving Crane and Marty Ross, the manager at Allinger's pool hall in Philadelphia, decided to hold a non-sanctioned championship. Willie refused to play without the BCA's sanction, causing considerable friction with Ross and Crane and later issues as to who was the true world champion. The tournament began on March 15 and ran for many days. Meanwhile, Willie headed to the Midwest for some exhibitions. One of those was on March 19, when he ran the 526.

Exactly

So to say you bested Mosconi is not real.

That said Shaw ran the most in this rapid fire, gaffed table, fouls allowed format. And I really am impressed.

Pool is a crazy game....the people are even crazier.

Certainly not true. We are trying to help pool and get exposure to straight pool. I have read a few of your hater posts and that's OK. We all see your a dickhead.
Ok internet champ....so brave really

It's painfully obvious you have hate for John Schmidt and showing him up was a big part of why you did this, but yes I'm a dickhead and you are a fat petulant childman.

Always liked Jason Shaw, (he's a southpaw) I have grown to admire the concentration it takes to keep the run alive. Like a chain: just 1 time breaks the link. Props to Jason!

There are instances where a student may appear under the influence of substances.
In any situation where a student is not acting in accordance with public or driving laws, tests are conducted to ensure their safety.

Tests are not used as enforcement tools to target and punish specific people.

Tests at the Academy are used for diagnostic purposes to make recommendations and decisions for the good of the program and its members.

Oh, I think you misunderstood me. I meant for the faculty. We all know a person would have to be stoned to the holy bejesus to enroll in your fake academy.
