No masks are allowed inside the room.

EDIT: I was recently notified by Corey Harper that because of PACMANIA happening on the First Sunday, and we were to give a trip away to the Mosconi Cup, we've effectively MOVED the First Sunday to the weekend of November the 7-8th to do this ($200 added One Pocket on Saturday, $800 added 9-ball on Sunday). Please view Corey's post for more information: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=158910

What this means is that for 2 weekends, Hard Times Bellflower will be hosting some good stuff for the enjoyment of all. We're hosting Manny Pacquiao one weekend, then following it up the next weekend by giving away a trip to the Mosconi Cup! In order to be eligible for the Mosconi Cup giveaway prize, you HAVE to sign up for the 9-Ball Tournament on November the 8th!

Its great to see stars from other fields of sports fund Pool. Knowing that other athletes enjoy the game I would hope that more of them would put their money into doing things like Manny is doing. Watching poker stars like Phil Ivey and Patick Antonius make prop bets for 50K a hand makes me wonder why guys like Negreaneu (who had a $million prop bet with Ivey at the WSOP), Nick Schulman, Johnny World, Jean Roberte Bellande etc. who started out in pool not back some events. Thanks Manny!!!!

Apparently we're giving a trip away for the Mosconi Cup that will be played in Vegas this year at the 9-Ball tournament ($800 added) on November the 8th. You MUST sign up for the 9ball tournament on November the 8th to be eligible to win the trip. Original Post has been updated to reflect this.

Very strong field of 69 players. Oscar, Roberto Gomez, Louie Ulrich and Santos are still undefeated. Should be some great matches tomorrow. You can watch it all live on TAR, and listen to my BS too.

Results?

I had to leave just after the Gomez vs Oscar match. The emotions were running high at that point and it was a pretty good match to watch. I would have liked to see these guys square off in a longer race.

Since I had to leave after that match I didn't get to see what happened in the end.
Can someone post results?

Thanks.

Roberto Gomez ended up winning, with Mark Haddad as second and Oscar Dominguez as third. As you may have heard, this tournament almost did not happen. The organizers failed to inform me, the house, and most importantly the players that the sponsored money did not come through at the last minute. This resulted in there not being enough money to pay out the $10,000. Well, almost. In the end, the charity match was canceled, proceeds to charity were canceled, and we had 16 people who ended up cashing who I owed money. That's when the players staged a strike of sorts and refused to play until they knew where the money was situated. So all the entry fees were gathered, door fees too, and they were still short of the $10,000. So the owner of Hard Times, Mr. Eddie Arreguin, decided to put forth the extra money to make sure that the $10,000 was paid out. I don't know how much it ended up costing him, but I can say is that it is an awfully kind gesture considering how much the sponsors failed. Will this event return next year? It might, but it may be renamed the Eddie Arreguin Open .
