107 Breaks & 6 Chances

Yeah, we are spoiled today with "usually" level Diamonds with 1 piece slate.

A friend of mine slow rolls a lot.... I suggested to them to go find the shittiest Valley you can in the filthiest place and change your game to work on that table. That will make you a better player on the good equipment.

There was double jeopardy between the CB and OB. I think it's still true that guys who can 'hit' the ball go further but the faster conditions have redefined what 'hit' means.
 
FYI here,
After the Colts lost at Kansas City today I went downstairs to do the laundry. Before I started the laundry I polished and cleaned the balls using Aramith Ball Cleaner. After I got the laundry started I went to the table. I was looking forward to playing some racks with nice clean, polished balls. The first ten breaks - nothing.

So I come back upstairs and about an hour later went down and put the laundry in the dryer. Then I went and broke eleven more racks - nothing.

Broke 21 racks in a row and literally had no chance to run a rack. Nothing. No chance. This new Diamond Professional can't get here fast enough.

But, as someone said, look at the good things. I had a wreck on Friday in my F-150 truck. Some doofus pulled out in front of me and it was over before I knew what happened. I walked away, however. I guess I should feel fortunate.

Does anybody else ever play on your table?

If so, do they ever make a ball on the break?

This journey is amazing and I'm fascinated by it. How about posting some videos of these breaks on youtube??? Then everyone could analize and the better players could offer real advice not guesses. Thanks.
 
ultimately its as simple as prop your phone up on something, record a video with your phone, download the youtube app, create a free account and upload the video.

I'm sorry to hear this and happy to hear you walked away. I hope you werent banged up too bad. Is your truck totaled?

No, truck is not totaled. The front end is pretty banged up. With three holidays - Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years - this might take a while to get it fixed. It's my understanding my insurance, the other guys insurance, and the estimator from the place that will repair it all have to come and take a look at it and do their estimates first. All of this after, of course, the police report is sent out.

Of those 21 breaks how many times did you adjust break speed, cue ball position, and the type of rack you use (template or triangle)?????
 
I went back down to the table tonight. Broke 14 racks and only had one halfway possible runout. The type that prime Efren might have been able to get out.

Finally I said the heck with it, this will be my last break tonight. I am simply tired of this voodoo, hex, pool spirits, etc, being against me. So I broke and ended up with this spread. I quickly laid the break cue on the table and walked away before I threw it. Or did something else that I would regret.

 
Might be your destiny. In a game, you simply lay a good safety or push. If the guy breaks too well, then pay him to demoralize you a couple of times and be done with that experience.
