$12,000 added One Pocket! T-Town Classic Feb 4-7th 2010

We are really looking forward to this, but we probably will not be able to stop in for more than a few minutes each day, due to the smoky atmosphere. (I am VERY allergic to 2nd hand smoke.) We're planning to be a couple of miles away at our favorite non-smoking pool hall, which we're hoping to have set up so we can all watch the live stream on their big tv. I wish we could be present and watch, but the smoke there is just way too thick for me.

I'm fast learning to love the game of one pocket and this is looking like a very exciting event! Can't wait to see the list of players!

I have been to Magoos on several occassions and have never left thinking it was smokey in there.

I think everyone will have a great time!

No, no... I was saying that I am VERY allergic to the 2nd hand smoke and cannot handle it for long at a time. Two hours of 2nd hand smoke puts me in bed and very sick for at least 3 days. Sometimes, it takes me to the doctor, as well. Ask the folks at Rusty's. They'll tell you I spend a lot of time outdoors, when we go down there.

Keep in mind... This event is in February and I don't plan on spending a lot of time outdoors in the coldest month of the year. However, I really want to see it, so I'm doing what I can to share it with others, too. That's also why we asked to be a sponsor of the stream. We are trying to share this great event with everyone possible. Last time I noticed, that was a good thing.

I am certain everyone will have a great time. We are excited about it, too. And, we are looking forward to finally meeting you, Ray.

Watchez,

You don't need a pic. I can tell ya that it is an awesome room.

Wonderful diamond tables with the diamond lighting. Food is awesome. Staff is great. It has good seating for players and spectators. Enough room to play.

It's just a great room all the way around. Our OB Cues ladies tour has a tourney there every year and it's one of our favorite places to play.

Hope you go to the tourney just so you can experience a 1st class pool room !!

I play there once a week...if anyone wants me to take pictures the next time I am there I can...just let me know

It is a nice place to play, and plenty of room. Friendly staff, and the food is super good!!!!

I give Magoos a 3 thumbs up!

I've been looking forward to this for months! Hope to see a TON of AZers around for this one! Definately going to be a good one to be at!

If Evelyn and Danny are running this event?

This should DEFINITELY be on the first page!

If Evelyn and Danny are running this event? I will drive down for the player auction with a few thousand in my pocket. Plus the necessary protection.
I read a thread today that said there are fights at magoo's? Sounded like BS, but when you travel with a good player and a pocket full or CASH you need to be secure.:eek::eek::eek:

Yes, Evelyn and Danny are running the event.

The comment about a fight at Magoo's was a joke making fun of casemakers, lol.

Not sure about that but I have NEVER seen anyone get out of hand or even get loud. Excluding myself when I miss a shot....lol

No worries. It's not a "gun toting" kind of place.

This really looks like a great tournament! I'll have to contemplate just coming up on the weekend for a spell...

Magoo's is one of the all-time best places ever

I just love me some Magoo's. The McDermotts are the best ever as well. They do so much for pool in many ways; they really take care of their equipment as well. Wish we had a place in Dallas with Diamond 7' Smart Tables like they have.

The OB Cues Ladies Tour always comes to Magoo's and they are a favorite place for all of our players, fans and supporters.

Wish I could be there with you all but have another prior commitment.

Toodle-loo,
Moni

if anyone is worried about trouble at Magoos do not be worried.

It gets alot of buz on the weekends with the younger crowd, and the bouncer drags people out so fast you never even knew anything happened....there is no trouble to be worried over at Magoos. Place is secure and safe....I can personally attest to that.
