i just posted that robert byrne says that lou butera has run over 100 one handed. 27 is very good though...

You do realize how many straight pool players are thinking about committing suicide after watching your video?............. LOL
That was amazing. Very skillful. I am wondering how you play with two hands? Anyways, I enjoyed watching it. I bet you can beat many players one handed against their two.
There is a guy who bowls back wards and he is great. Really neat to watch. Here's the Link:

i heard he ran 150 in under 20 minutes in a tournament one year.

that guy that ran 27 runs more balls 1 handed than i do using both hands. i think they call this feeling shame

Was wondering if anyone knew what the one handed record was for 14.1. I ran a 27 on video and am trying for larger runs. Here's my latest run at < http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaP0mf6jzT8 >.

Jesse,

Great shooting! I have run 42 one handed jacked up. I doubt that is even close to being a record. I've watched your videos, and I KNOW you could run more than 42 if you set your mind to it.

I'm wondering how many Larry Nevel has run one handed. I'm sure he could run a lot of he wanted to.

I believe that Lou Butera's 100 was done resting the cue on the rail.

Great shooting, Jesse! Some really cool videos there.

Blackjack: 42 is very impressive. I doubt anyone has run many more than that one-handed and jacked-up.

i found that when playing one-handed, it's not that often that i can use the rail. also, i did not find that the rail offered much, if any, advantage. i saw butera on TV playing 9ball one-handed against an accomplished 2-handed player. i don't remember lou using a rail. he has a "flick" stroke that really doesn't seem to lend itself to resting on the rail.

Nice one handed run....You must play pretty sporty with 2 hands !!

Whats your high run with 2 hands ?

2 handed high run

Thanks for all the info and comments. I've run 98 several times since I was 17, always choke on the 99th break shot though. most recent 98 was a few months ago. Now that I'm trying for as big a run one handed the dream of 100 is on the backburner. I also ran a 67 against Butera when I was 17. Never saw him play one handed, wish I had.

Did you ever live in Reno?

Runing 27 one handed is very impressive. Doing it without the luxury of using the rails is even more impressive.

To add to what others have posted, it has been many, many years but, whenever I saw Butera play one handed he did use the rails to support the cue whenever he could. I never saw him run 100 one handed but I did see him run a lot of balls. He was a very accomplished one handed player.
Watching Lou play with one or two hands was always a pleasure.

That backward bowler has great form! wow A friend of mine suggested shooting pool with the cue facing the opposite direction. I tried one shot in my trick shot video and I am going to see if a rack can be run that way.
Cheers < http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIj6eKKsUJw >
