Just to give a heads up (because I have been asked a few times already) - the 15th Annual Jay Swanson Memorial 9-Ball Tournament will be at HardTimes Billiards in Bellflower.

Feb 12-13, 2011

$3,000 guaranteed added - $4,000 added with a full field.

A full field is 192. We have filled up every year - usually turning away 10-20 each year.

In a week or two, I can post a link to the flyer and the registration. Entry is $80 (including all green fees/registration/and TD fees).

We raised it $5 per person because HardTimes does not have liquor like HollyWood Billiards did.

I really appreciate Eddie (from HardTimes) stepping up to keep the tradition going.

FIRST! (Always wanted to do that, and I don't even know what it means).

HT will make for a great venue. It's a players room, parking is easy, plenty of gallery seating, and it is centrally located for all of Southern California.

Any discussions about a stream for next year's event?

We usually don't really want anyones money until close to end of December. Don't want to get the money in 2010 books.

We usually get 100-120 sign-ups though our office by mail and fax. The other 80-90 are usually on site.

We probably are going to do on-line signups this year.

This will be a big event.

Swanee sign-ups.

OK - here is the usual deal.

We try to take the sign-ups through the mail and fax starting in late December. (We actually prefer to take them in January to keep the records all in one year.)

The last week or so the entries can be paid on site at HardTimes also.

This year we expect to offer on-line sign-ups. Our IT guy is out sick so I am not sure of that status.

So - I should know something next week or so. The event is not until Feb 12-13 so we have plenty of time.
