I'm trying to find out a price range for my cue (the cue on top with the Irish linen) The cue is all original and in very good condition.. It still rolls straight as an arrow. The shaft has ivory Farrel. Thanks in advance

My advice is to get a letter of authenticity from Barry with details on the cue. Sure it cost some bucks but it more than pays for itself when you sell.
Number of shafts, and size makes a big difference as well and are not shown in pictures and doesnt look like there are any veneers on cue, and to me that is a negative. It might be rare as I havent many a Gus without veneers.

You asked for value - so my two cents, if the cue is authenticated and documented as discussed above - probably north of $5K and South of $10K - there is a small market. - but there is a market / finding a trusted buyer can be a challenge on this sort of cue at this price range - I suggest doing homework on any prospective buyer that surfaces.

The issue of vintage cues as related to the vintage guitar market is interesting:
I sold all my Gus cues when I realized their value was largely inherent in the period-related craftsmanship/history. They didn’t play any better than modern/cheaper cues (which hardly ever warped BTW). Vintage guitars always generally sounded better though. The break-over point is when the risk/value of something you take out into the public is more than its real usefulness. Most musicians travel with modern/easily-replaced instruments. BUT, I noticed when ZZ Top played the superbowl, he brought out his million-dollar ’Pearly’ ‘59 LP.

It would be nice to see the shaft curious about the ringwork it has, assuming condition of everything is vg and shaft is 12.7 or larger and orig to the cue I think the $7k range give or take a g-note would be reasonable. Some kind of written acknowledgement that it is a Gus, whether a COA or refinish receipt from Barry indicating this would be helpful.

Maybe they just got the message the account was approved. It took over two months and several messages to get my account approved
