1980 Richard Black whats this worth PICS

My buddy has this cue. He bought it brand new in 1980 for $600 from Richard Black. He had some things made specially for him such as a black butt cap intead of white. And the some of the extra stuff in the butt. I took some photos(from my phone)

It has 2 shafts one original and a second made by richard years later.

What would something like this be worth?

That is what I told him the value was too,the market stinks right now for cues and most anything else for that matter.

I sold that cue on Ebay, two years ago for $1000, with 2 shafts, but it was pristine (just like new).

A thousand dollars for that cue would be a very good deal for someone.

Richard's cues play very nice and have good following.

There is a bunch of Richard's cues here in the Charlotte area where he started making cues but ain't nobody giving them away by any means. I have offered good money for a few cues and can't talk them into selling to me. Good luck with the sell the old ones have a good hit, and the new ones must also.--Leonard

Saw a cue sold about two months ago on Fleabay for somewheres between $450 and $550 if I remember right as I watched it for a while and bidded on it with 6 seconds left and still got beat out. May not have been exactly the same (butt cap) but otherwise identical. Only one shaft though if I remember correctly.
