2 Break and Runs, 10 ball, $1,000 a ball on 1st

The tables are not shimmed at all. The shims were taken out about a year ago and the rails were built out to play like natural pockets (only smaller). Originally the cushions were stretched to the same pocket size as the shimmed pockets. However, this caused some inconsistent spots on the rails. Since then, we have replaced all of the rubber on the 3 tight pocket tables. They are tough tables, but they play natural.

On the Break & Run, once each pot gets over $500 per ball, then we have a $100 guarantee for drawing your ticket and pay $200 per ball dropped on the break (1 - 9, 10 Ball pays full price). After it hits $1000 per ball, the guarantee goes up to $200 for being drawn and $400 per ball dropped on the break. No pot will go over $1,000 per ball. Once it does, we will split into another pot. All tickets are pulled from the same pool (1 ticket is good for all pots).

How's it work?

If I play and you draw my number could I 'sub' someone (Earl, Keith, Chew, BJ) for my chance at B+R or does the person drawn have to go ahead and shoot?

Can the purchaser put the tickets in someone else's (shooter in tourny) name?

Just trying to figure it out if 'subs' were allowed somehow?

1 drawing per pool, a night?

thanks

Amazing B&R Pot

Check this out.... we have a local B&R pot that is currently at $8,200 and is growing about 2K per week the last couple weeks. The amazing part is that it is a 9 ball B&R on a valley bar box!

Bump to remind people in the Greater Greensboro area to shake it on over to Gate City Billiards tonight. Besides the $15 handicap tourney, the break and run pot is sky high! And you can count on a lot of heavy hitters and action hounds being there! Tourney at 7:30, B&R 10 pm.

Boy, I gotta hurry up and get over there.

Can't watch

I get a error reading...

"Windows has blocked this software. Can't verify the Publisher"

Won't work on either my desktop, or my laptop. Same message on both.

That's a first....

you name who will shoot at the time you buy the ticket. there is a limit of 20 tickets total that can be purchased for each shooter. For example if you bought 20 tix on Chewy, no one else could buy tickets on him.

1 drawing per pool, a night? yes

thanks

Hope that helps.

How does that work?

I am interested in setting something like that up. How do you go about it? What is the structrure? What do you mean $1000.00 or $400.00 a Ball?

Please explain.

Thank you.

Pot #1: $1000/ball, $400/ball on the break, guaranteed $200 for getting picked.

Pot #2: $980/ball, $200/ball on the break, guaranteed $100 for getting picked.

Tickets are $5 each, limit 20 tickets per shooter. Must be in the tournament to shoot in the B&R.

Given the payouts above, if you are drawn in pot #1 every ball made on the break is $400 and then every ball after is $1000. In pot #2 balls on the break are worth $200 and every ball after is $980. If the 10-ball is made on the break it would be worth the price of a ball made after the break.

Heard that Tony W. had a b+r last night for 9400, or 9600. Followed up by Scott Lewis making a ball on the break, and running to the 5. Good for either 44 or 4600.

Also heard there were 'complaints' and they were shutting the contest down. Went thru all the money last night, drawing one person after another till it was gone.

(knew it was too good to be true!)

Well they still have the one an hour and half over in Hickory. Not sure what the pot is now, but it consistently gets capped at 10k

The party is over

Yes it true Rick, the break and run at the Gate is over, at least for now. They had about 25K to fade. It took about an hour and a half. Tony Watson busted the first rack for about 9.6k, what a player. Then BJ Ussery brought up the rear with a b&k for about 4.5k. KK9 and I didn't get a shot at the gold; we were one number away from the glory.
