2006 Mosconi Cup

europe has a great side this time round i think we just need to get used to playing scotch doubles as its not something we do and really the players dont know each other well enough to know what leaves their partner wants.

the US of A could run up a commanding lead before the singles.

ironic really as its the total opposite of ryder cup where it seems the yanks cant play together

Anyway come on EUROPE :D

Tough bet to make, the US has dominated this event but the odds your getting on Europe are pretty good.

I'll say it again

Engert, Van der Beck, and Majid are not elite (top flight) 9 ballers. The USA clearly has the advantage team wise here, but with playing in Europe, it may even it a little, but I am still picking the USA all the way.

I just tried to place a bet on each team and it would not let me. Is this something new? I have done this before. If one team wins, you make money. If the other team wins, your loss is smaller. Did anyone else try to bet both sides?

usa all day every day. i think jet lag and a change in diet might affect the players some though. does anyone know much time they'll have between getting to europe and then playing?

CHANGE IN DIET :D :D

we do still have macdonalds and pizza over here im sure they'll be alright ;)

Just placed ALL my V-Cash on Team USA.

If Archer and Strickland show up with their A games and Earl keeps his cool, this should be a no-brainer.

The 2006 Mosconi Cup took place in June. USA won a thrilling 10-9 nailbiter coming from 9-6 down, after Europe chocked on the 8-ball to win 10-6. After the two teams could not be separated at 9-9, the sudden death rack was won by our very own Jude Rosenstock with a nerveless clearance in front of a packed house. I'll allow Jude to brag since it was against me!

Maybe I'll wear my Team Europe shirt when I go to Rotterdam next week.
