2007 DCC Raffle

This may be a stupid question, but I obviously haven't been here in awhile: Are all the proceeds going to fund the AZ-1P room at the DCC? If there is anything left over, what will the remaining balance go toward?

Last year, extra funds went to pizza parties and such. I don't think we will have any problem getting rid of excess cash.

SM,
All proceeds will be used to defray the cost of the AZB room at DCC 2007. There will not be anything left over, we use the money for the room and table; any leftover will be used for refreshments and prizes for the member tournaments. If we have a lot left over we may try to sponsor a rotation game between Efren and Corey Deuel for Accu-Stats (seems unlikely at this point, but not impossible).

Last year we spent $1000 for the room and table, about $700 on prizes, refreshments, and material costs for the room (we had about 50 to 70 "donators" contributing variable amounts). This year the room will be $2000, so there seems less likelihood of excess funds.

After the raffle, we will decide on the contribution amount for people that wish to play in the room (based on an equivalent number of contributors as last year - could be more, could be less; just don't know yet).

I just wanted to let it be known that "bookonit" purchased a
book from me knowing that the proceeds would go towards the
DCC room.

Thanks "BookOnIt" Add his name with mine as a donor if it needs to be that way. Not sure if it matters.

Money is directly for the room and not raffle tickets. Total was $50

Paypal is slow but the check should be to Timberly next week.

You had better send an e-mail (not a PM or message on this thread) to Timberly (see her first post in this thread for the addy) - I'm not sure she is checking the forum PM's.

If your contribution is for the room, then congratulations, you are the first player in - I hope you are planning on attending.

I have emailed Timberly and will do so again. I am hoping to go but right now I am just trying to get through the next month or so. Its been
a tough few weeks.

I hope the room goes off without a hitch this year and that it an grow each year.

Frank, you've got until mid Dec. Take care of the things going on in your life.... we've got a little while to wait yet. ;)

We've got a few more donations.... cueball1950 has donated an Audrick cue with ivory & MOP inlays, InsidePOOL has donated two, one yr subscriptions (that makes 3 subscriptions because ccn7 has also donated one), and etimmons has donated a pool table light. The light will not be available until after the DCC because we will be using it for one of the tables in our room.

Thank you everyone for your support in both donating items and buying tickets. Good luck everyone!

I sure hope we got lots of tickets sold! I hope that after all this shipping, we have a good start on our fund for our event. Can't wait to see the results of the auction. Woohoo!
