I just can't get past that damn 40 - guess I'll run pretty loose and continue like forever, when I finally make it...;-)

Watch out for the news of how long exactly forever is...
At the urging of another regular member, I'll add my score. Two weeks ago Friday, I ran 189. It became my high run by roughly two racks. I hesitated to post this because I had no opponent and no one was watching. Mike Sigel was in Rochester practicing. All I can think of was being inspired by one of the greatest 14.1 players of all time. I was in "the zone" throughout. Missed the simplest shot looking for cue ball position before finishing my stroke. Happens way too much!!!!
I had a 64 yesterday, just 4 short of my all time best. I broke apart the last 6 balls on the table and got stuck to one of them to end it. I guess that is a better way to end it than missing, although it still sucks.
When I ran the 68 years ago I didn't know what a key ball was. Now, thx to u guys and all the straight pool on the internet-accustats I am beginning to understand the game.
Once a week is not enough, I might have to quit my job.

About two weeks ago i ran a 31 my first inning in. Not my high run and nowhere near where some of you guys are but it definitely sent a message to my opponent that i came to play. It felt great my first time at the table that day running two racks like that. Of course when i got done with that i couldnt string more than seven together for the rest of the day lol.
I just started practicing 14.1 and ran 18 yesterday. I had a fairly easy shot on #19 but a combo would have resulted in better position for another ball,...I missed. I guess time and more practice will result in better decision making.
Alex: Stephan Cohen's run will not be on the list. The list is only for members of AzBilliards... If he has an account her, then his run will be updated.
Actually ran 18 yesterday. The 19th ball that I missed was a long straight in shot where the CB and OB were about 4 inches apart. Ugh, gotten straighten my stroke out lol.
