Think you know that for sure......sometimes just to lazy to keep it with you....and the other time you forget...and suddenly you re wondering "..where is the red light...." lol :-)

wondered anyway- i posted 3 links with a 55 or so (around that) - a bit longer ago- not sure where i posted here in the 14.1 section.

thx for your nice comment :)=

On April 7, I upped my high run for the year to 23. Baby steps I guess. The miss that stopped the run made me sick when I missed it. Simple shot.

Hun,
if you have simple shots on the table- you ve done all perfectly. It s all about to keep it simple in billiards, especially in straight-pool :-)
And everyone is missing shots- and everyone is missing *simple* shots!
last week i ve had a good run- 68 balls- and a breakball where the 11 is about 15 cm in front of the side-pocket, cueball 40-50 cm distance to it.......and missed it- don t think about you missed shots Heather-no time for negative vibes! I m so absolutley sure that i will read very soon that you ve shot yourself into the 3rd rack (and i bet the pool-hall will hear that-LOL!)

I've been on a 2 month slump due to tweaking my stroke. Last night things started to gel again & I put down consecutive runs of 28, 42, & 28. Kept botching position on break balls...need to work on Schmidt's "triangle".

So please put me down temporarily for a 42 on 4/11/10...I plan to best that soon!

My friend told me I ran a 39 yesterday (04/11/2010)... new high for the year!

We play races to 100 and I had a very good game, running 23 off the bat, a 28 and 39 in that game. I played a bad pattern at the end and had to leave myself a hard shot that I missed. I had a run of 30 at the end of another game as well.

Hopefully I'll top my career high run of 43 this year. I've been playing more 14.1 than ever! The run of 39 was on a 9-foot table with average pockets.

Good Work

Those are all good runs. Running those numbers during a match, shows consistency. You would beat most anyone going to 100 with those type of innings. Remember, sometimes instead of taking that impossible shot which ends your run and gives your opponent a good shot to get started, is not the wise thing to do. Play safe. My mentor Leroy Kinman always told me: a 39 ball run with a safe at the end is much more impressive then a 39 ball run with a miss. (put what ever number you want in that statement) It is very true.
Keep up the good work.

100 % agree my friend :)

If somebody askin for my *best match* i ll always show up a game, where i won 100:0 in 8 innings ( 7 times ran 14 balls ended with a perfect safety, and 8th inning out). My friend was each time he was allowed to enter the table surrounded by sharks in his bath :grin-square:

Had 61 tonight.

I was practicing tonight and had a run of 61. It ended when I had a key ball that required me to come across the the angle of the break ball and I hit it about 6 inches too hard and got on the wrong side of the break ball. I pocketed the break ball for #61, but couldn't get into the rack, so just to try to keep the run going I tried to bank the corner ball down into the bottom corner pocket and missed it.

Thanks OP for adding my run in the list from another thread. I didnt even ask you to do it and you did.

Thanks!

First night of the year playing straight pool, all I could manage were (2) 29's in the first hour or so. Got to the break shot of the third rack twice, once with no break shot, the other I got caught in the rack.

No problem! 3 racks on your first turn is a great feeling. And being a high run is really quite a feat. Keep it going!

I left work early on Friday & ran 51 in my very first inning. Got the breakout I needed but jawed the OB shooting lefty. Should have gotten the rake! When will I learn? :(

So please put me down for a 51 on 4/16/10.

Hey Mosconi,

Great Shooting ! you are puting up some nice innings pretty regularly.....

Keep it up
Steve

Very Nice shooting Scott !!

you had to go ahead and match my two 61's this week.

you shoot at a very good tempo, and play some real nice patterns. you keep cueball movement to a minimal, and really think out your problems very well.

I wouldnt be surprised if you better that real soon !

Steve

I know my high run this year is already posted I figured I would post the 2 runs this week worth talking about. On tuesday I ran a 166 and followed that up on thursday with a 181.The main reason I posted is because these runs were on a 4.5 inch pocket diamond and not gold crowns with gutter pockets.lol

Thanks,

Bobby Chamberlain
