2010 Cue of the Year

Eric,

I suppose this is a "contest" of sort, but I do not believe it is phony in the least bit. No one is going to buy their way into having the winning cue. I remember a couple years ago at the ICCS there was a $150,000 cue. Did that cue win... no.

The "AZB Cue of the Year is all about the opinions of the people voting... that's it. Some like chocolate, some like tuiti fruiti... it should not be taken personally. As I stated before, the cue that wins at the ICCS, may not be the cue that wins on AZB. There are two completely different demographics of people in each group, so I expect the outcome to be different... I could be wrong.

It sounds like you were offended by what some people posted about your BB (including myself). But isn't that what makes posting on forums interesting? There is never 100% agreement. That is what fuels the discussions.

I do not believe there is one person here that does not appreciate all the work that went into your cue or Tony's ability.

Respectfully,
Jamie

we can agree to disagree, anything can be bought.

Hey Guys,
This thread was just supposed to be a fun idea. Show off some beautiful cues made in 2010. Think we got a little sideways... I appreciate everyone who posted up pictures, and enjoyed seeing alot of nice cues.
Thanks Jamie for making this happen..
Best,
Ken Kerner

this is why I dont post pic's. and wont again. if someone wants to see my cues, come visit.:)

Eric your being silly. Do what i do. Post your pics and if they like them well thats good and if they don't? why would you possibly care what some guy thinks about a cue you bought and like.
I have posted pics of my cues because most guys want to see nice cues. If someone knocks one of my cues. I couldn't care less.
Your being to touchy. Screw the naysayers.
This is supposed to be fun and to see cues that a lot of people wont ever get to see. Stay with it.

Major bummer for us cue junkies, but I understand. Thank you very much for having the pics posted. I sure enjoyed them immensely.
Best regards and take care.

Equally enjoying the pictures as I sit back and look over the cues.
There are more out there for sure and surely I would have wanted to see the Searing Propeller cue in this line up...
Also noticed that there is not a single big cue representing the Tascarella team.
Surely they have delivered a couple out there besides the cue Berny posted for John.

So back to the fun of looking and eventually seeing what could be the Cue of the Year.

I have seen absolutely no signs of hatred in this thread... period.

I guess Hatred(haters, hating) might have been a bit harsh.
I was trying to tell Eric what most others already have told him: To forget what everyone else says and do what makes him happy and enjoy life.

Eric loves to show off his cues. People love to see cues. So, lets see them!!! EVEN YOURS, FATBOY!!! :grin-square:

Hey Myron,
I think the purpose of this thread was exactly as you described. "Enjoying the pictures as I sit back and look over the cues".

Since you asked about Pete not being represented and he made me a cue in 2010, I'll add one. Happens to be one of Myrons Favs.. The Ivory Handle Tas..

KILLER!

I was fortunate enough to hold this cue at the last SBE. This cue shimmers when spun in your hand. Mesmerizing...

Thank you for sharing,
Chris

Absolutely a favorite of mine!
I was hoping to see some big guns from the Tascarella team... But you had to bring out a monster!
The cue is a beauty as I too was fortunate enough to hold it at VF.
How about some others to make the selection process a bit tougher.

Tikkler is posting lots of cues again. He has some great cues, if you want to come see my cues come visit.

Cast your vote for one of these amazing cues. There is a Sticky at the top of the page with the poll:

Remember, every vote counts!

For John?

Johns pictures Berny's Cue and my Gus Blank Tascarella! I have a couple Golden Tascarellas but with Erics Fancy Black Boars why bother! But to each his own I don't care for CNC and Erics remark anything can be bought he hasn't tried to get one of my Gus Szamboti's or Searing hell I wouldn't trade one of my Golden Tascarellas for his $35,000 Black Boar or anyone elses CNC masterpiece! I love the work in this cue...by far my favorite

I have nothing to say but if you are going to narrow the field, it should have been one cue to a customer.

That's ok, it's nice to know where you stand, saves a lot of questions for later.

Why???? The people posting the cues had nothing to do with it... I based my choices on the cues only. No politics... I chose what I thought were the best 10. I completely understand that not everyone will agree with me.

To help satisfy the masses and hurt feelings... feel free to post "write-in" votes in the poll thread for any cue that was posted in the original thread that meets the criteria.

Hey Jamie,

i think Joe was talking about "they received new from the cuemaker this year"
I thought this might be fun... anyone can post a cue they received new from the cuemaker this year in this thread. After one week I will narrow it down to 12 cues, and then start a poll for the final voting. I understand my choices will be subjective, but I promise to be fair and not let friendship or other influences sway my choices.

I will start it off with the following cue. It was a tough choice for me between this cue and my Gilbert box cue.

Haley_168.jpg

Thats why i posted the Pics from John ... he received it as the Customer from the Cuemaker. So the Honor belongs to him if the People should vote for his cue.

Berny
