I ran 14 today. When I joined AZ Billiards in June I could barely run 5. I should have kept going, I had good position for the break shot on the next rack but I just missed it, plain and simple.

nice Krupa and Jim,

Krupa, if you hit 14, then the 2nd rack is a nice goal :)
Don t begin to count each ball- just *count racks*. Often this helps to handle the pressure a bit easier ^^

keep shooting:)

@Jim

nice run

Well, a small triumph. I added one ball to my high run for the year bringing it up to 18. No video, it was in my round robin match at Boomers.

It was a nice run as far as it went. I took 7 out of the first rack, leaving my self a very shallow angle for a break shot, I would estimate 3 or 4 degrees. I figured that if I made the shot I would clip the ball on the right side of the head of the rack and that is exactly how it played out. It was a soft hit but I knocked out a couple of balls and had a good secondary break. Things went well for awhile but on #17 I got a few inches out of position and on #18 a little more. That left me with a rather seep cut with a possibility of a scratch in the head corner. I played it with draw to avoid the scratch and missed the shot. Oh well, maybe next year.

Dave Nelson

No need to be frustrated Nelson,
as time goes by and with a bit more practice you ll soon have another new high-score :-)

I thought i was gonna get a new high run, but it stopped on the same number... now i have 2x93, a bit angry, a bit happy, 7th november 2011.

22 today and 26 the day before. Still short of my year's best. Felt confident dealing with patterns but miss, miss, miss that darn ball or position over and over again.

98

Well, I wish that I could tell everyone that I just broke my high run but I messed up once again. Ran a nice 98 with no lucky shots.......LOL
I can't even say the the cue ball got stuck in the rack or got a bad roll etc.... I just missed a break shot that I should of made. The cue ball was about 2" below the Head Spot & the break ball was about 2 " to the left of the rack. I just missed it. Very pleased with the run.
Another thing that I would like to mention is that. I picked up my new OB-1
shaft on Friday from the OB Cue shop. I have been playing with it all weekend long. What a shaft! The best shaft that I have ever played with. I will have to order a second one from Royce just for a back up.

Congratulations, Mike, on another big number. :thumbup:
