2011 AZ Straight Pool Challenge!

Tell him that you ran 33 and would like to be added to the list.

PS: Good run. Keep it going.

that was a nice run you had made aswell:thumbup: 55 was not my best by far, but considering I had jsut picked it back up after 17 years i am not complaining. A friend of mine Ken Lewis lives in San Antonio and I played while we were stationed together in Korea back in the early 90s. Funny thing we lost contact for many years in the millitary, now we are both retired I was able find him again and we talked almost everyday for a year only for him to dissapear again, hope he is well. I am going to start practicing SP again and see if I can break a century this year.

Played again pool again after a longer time (next instructing a bit). Made my *usual* 10 innings at least and again i felt how important the physical condition is-without beeing fit at all, it s hard to play straight-pool (or better almost makes no sense:( )

not paying attention.

Yes, I knew it was 55. I copied and paste the answer that another played had ask. (same question as you). My mistake.
55... very good my friend.

I see that I made the mistake by not completely reading your other post, I guess I need to pay more attention then I would see those type of things like the milk hiding behind the SMALL mustard jar:D or obvious patterns on the table.

Lol

Good line (milk behind the mustard). I know the feeling. I still messed up.
I had wrote (played instead of player)..... It is a never ending story.

Hussa,

gave some lessons today and practiced afterwards. Made 10 innings, with 5 innings under 10, lol- and finally made 73 with a following 32. Felt really good :-)
Run ended with this breakshot: I made the shot, and the cueball went into the sidepocket this way....grmbl:

CueTable Help

Teasin a bit- wide open table.....but still satisfied :)

Finally broke 50! Ran a 59 on a not-so-easy 9-footer at Rusty's in Arlinton, TX on June 11, 2011. Guess I'm shooting for 60 next!

4.5" poorly shimmed pockets
pocket liners that protrude into the pocket opening
filthy old cloth-dirty balls
el cheepo plastic rack not appropriate for anything
Yes it was a great 59!

60?

Why stop at 60? If you open up that 5th rack ya gotta shoot for 70!! Good job!

Very nice job Samiel,

you should think about changing your signature^^ a liquid C player won t shoot 59 balls in straight-pool :-)

grmbl,

time to invest in a new cam- my cam is working in *olympia style* ....works each 4 years perhaps :-(
Played a nice match against a guy- ended 125-104 for him. I begun really good-A 21 in 1st inning and a 64 in 3 rd inning-he answered with 42, 25, 49, really strong.

Sounds like a very good match and a enjoyable match to watch. That is strong steady shooting from the both of you. I have many Accu Stats videos of 14.1 matches. 90% of them that I enjoy the most are the ones that there are no super high runs b/c I can get into each player's head on how they play defense and how they try to get started on offense, getting themselves back into the match.

PS; I don't know if anyone caught the high run list lately but our own AZer "stevekur1" had a 91 ball run recently. Congrats Stevie. Way to go & I know that there is more to come. Keep up the good work Buddy.
