2011 Player of the Year: Orcullo or Van Boening??

After both players big wins this weekend, you have to think that this is down to a two horse race. With only one Major (US Open) and 3 other events of significance remaining ( Turning Stone, All Japan Championship and Philippines Classic) who is the favorite?? I think if you look into the tournament finishes you will see how close this is.
 
Too close to call just yet. Let's see what happens the rest of the year. Dennis is not a certainty to play in the U.S. Open this year as there are no other tournaments he can play in either before or after. It is a long way to come for one event. I hope he comes.
 
my bet is Dennis Orcollo...but i can't take it away from shane as he has a great finishes this year as well...
 
I said Dennis was still in the running when this issue was discussed two months ago. Everyone laughed in my face.

Although Shane is on fire and is seemingly unstoppable, Dennis has a world title under his belt this year, as well as numerous titles and top finishes in true international fields.

I don't know who's technically in the lead, as I'm not sure what events hold what weight in the eyes of the deciding committee. I do know however that it's going to be close one, and could potentially to be decide at the Open.
 
Ralf is definitely in contention as player of the year. I think he's still the money leader even though SVB and Dennis just took down events. Would be nice to see AzB update the money list.

Let em gamble for the title

I think they should gamble for the title. They were supposed to

gamble @ dcc but for whateva reason it neva jumped off.

This would make a grand ppv match.

And also be the equivalent of the mayweather/pacquio matchup (hype)!
