I ran 23 on new years day with a goal of 60 for 2012. I'm loving this Break shot patterns DVD/book combo by Capelle. But I hate how easy they make it look!

I ran 23 on Jan 4. Denver straight pool league starts back up on Monday, should be a good turn out this session.

Hey guys,

It's been over a month since I picked up my cue, besides moving it from one room to the next. I made it out today and managed to pull out a 47 Ball run in a game... Not too shabby ! Hopefully I can make it out some more to keep up some sort of routine. Felt good to play again today !

Right after everyone yelled happy new year I hit my sister inlaw's basement table and pulled off an 83 ball run that started mid rack into what started as a 15 ball run. It's still on my mind that if I hadn't missed that shot that this could have been my first hundred or closest run to one in a very long time but I'm definitely not complaining. As often as I get to play this pretty much is a fluke. I'm also not sure how it fits with everyone elses runs since it was on an 8 fter with mud cloth, fairly dirty balls and 4.75 inch drop pockets. Anyway that's my contribution so far this year. Keep up the great runs! I know I'll be happy if I can get some more runs anywhere near this one. I hope to maybe tape a run or two this year and get it posted for critique by az's very well versed 14.1 enthusiasts.

Happy New Year,
Kevin

Good job Kevin!

@Steve: Nice run pal :) It s always funny if you re a bit longer away from the table and then have the chance to go to the playgarden again. Shows again: It s almost just the brain ^^

keep shooting,

Yesterday was in a *kind of casino* to hit some balls. Brandnew nice tables-but horrible *audience and public* there. Brandnew cloth is so nice for straightpool :)
But this will not be a place to visit again for sure....

Well DAvid- without being 100% sure- i always detract a point if i made a foul. Sorry that i m not able to give a definite answer here.

In the meantime found the "official" answer to this (my Equal Offense question) in an older BCA rule book:

Penalty for fouls: No point penalty; player's inning ends.

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

Thanks, Steve.

I see you managed to slip onto the board unannounced.

Lol, it was announced. If you read back a few posts I put it right in the thread.

Finally got down to the room via LIRR this weekend. Felt good to play again after the lay off I had. Hopefully I can make it down this weekend to build off it !!!

Bobby Chamberlain runs 225

I just ran a 225 at hardtimes on my 9ft.diamond pro.16 racks and made my break shot and went 2 rails into the rack and had no shot.a few key notes that I wanted to share also.4.5 inch pockets, cloth almost new about 10 days old, balls were polished when I started my attempts and this run was on my 4th attempt, and I never marked the cue ball and cleaned it.I feel this would be around a 350 on a gold crown.will try again on Tuesday.
