I received this cue hand delivered by Murray Tucker at the SBE. When I ordered it, my intent was to try a traditional looking Hoppe cue with linen. Suffice to say, I am NOT a linen person. So I contacted my friend Martin Bick for an elephant ear wrap. He sent me one of the finest wraps I had the pleasure holding. And the color match to the lighter tones of the Brazilian Rosewood was pretty close to perfect. I contacted Murray to see if he minded if I asked Mike Webb to install the wrap and he said "No problem at all". So I took a ride yesterday to see Mike and get the wrap done. As expected, Mike did a perfect job on the wrap.

What I did not expect was to see was a package from Alton when I got home. He sent a butt cap for my newest Tucker. I have not yet decided if I will keep it on this cue or use it for my Tucker conversion cue. Then have Alton make me a set with matching ringwork and engraved ivory tops.

Chris, that cue is just spectacular...I like it more now than when you had it at SBE....love the wrap
 
Really nice CUE! The wrap looks GREAT and that Alton is something! Congrats Chris. My Tucker will be here soon and Murray put a nice brown Lizard wrap on it for me! Ron

Gotta watch that Alton....he's sneaky like a Ninja...lol. :smile: He's as good as they come.

I wish I could take a drive and see Mike Webb. Great looking cue Chris. I will see Alton, on our vacation to Disneyland Island though. I'll make sure of it. Thank you for sharing a great cue. Rod.

Sweet cue!

I love Hoppe style cues and yours is a perfect example. The wrap matches the cue perfectly. Enjoy it, when you think about selling, let me know!

Chris awesome job Mike Webb did on that great wrap! The cue is beautiful, we all know that.
Mike is one of the best at his job, and a real class act as a person!
He also makes some great cues too!

Very nice! Beautiful figure on the BZRW, and I like the veneer colors.

Well, after a few days of playing with the wrap - I know I made the right decision. It feels like home...;)

Your cue is extremely beautiful and your wrap looks amazing.. some day i hope to add a Murray Tucker to my collection!
