Despite losing 7-5, I feel like I played well enough to win, but made some careless mistakes.

Nice shooting. Funny how the radio went from rap to Elvis. lol. PS, now you need tighter clothes

Ditto for the Billiard University (BU) playing-ability exams. Let's see some more scores and videos on the BU thread. We are nearing one year for this thread. I'm actually surprised we have only 18 9-ball ghost entrants (the game most of us play). The straight pool high run thread has 36 entrants thus far this year.
Lets get to it boys, post up your numbers, and videos if you have them!

I haven't watched the videos.
But is there a correlation between people posting videos and people owning tables vs doing it in the pool room?
How many people that don't post actually own cameras?
Can it be done on a phone?
I myself don't own a modern video camera.
I also don't own a pool table.
If I did, I still doubt I would be spending time doing this.
That's not to knock everyone's efforts in this thread, but to some people, it's just not that big of a deal.
You don't need to record it in order to post a score and have it in the first post. Video is certainly encouraged, but not required.
I believe some people use their phones. Also, there are definitely some people recording at the pool hall, but, probably most have home tables.
I haven't checked in for a while in this thread.
I had an hour to play so I figured I would play the ghost but I haven't been in the mood for getting my brains bashed in so I did something a little different.
I started with the 7 ball ghost and if I won that rack I went up a ball and if I lost I went down. After an hour I ended up at the 11 ball ghost.
I played pretty well and for fun I calculated my TPA although it's probably a bit exaggerated because of the few racks that were played against the 7 or 8 ball ghost but still pretty close I imagine.
After the hour was up I was up 9-6. I missed 6 balls and pocketed 102. 2 of the misses were easier than spot shots so those counted as two mistakes. So my TPA was calculated out as 102/111=.919.
What I wouldn't give to be able to actually play at that level.
I'll post the video at some point.
The year is almost up.
Good shooting! Anything over .900 is super strong, and especially playing the ghost where you have to go for the runout every time.
Sorry if this was asked, but for a 6 ball ghost game (for example) do you only rack 6 balls or do you rack for 9 ball but you are out if you make the 6 or higher?
I could be wrong, but the way I've always played the less-than-9-ball ghost is to break 9 ball rack and take away balls after the break. For the 6 ball ghost you would take 3 balls of the table after the break.
IDK what you do for more than 9 balls. I don't know how to rack a 12 ball rack.
Shane lost to Chinakov when he had to break from strange placement for him.
That match inspired me trying learn breaking from box 9-ball.
Never tried it before.
I did practice it first 3 hours then I did take pro-Ghost from box*edit(9-ball on spot)*.
Race to 7 have to make a ball from break or lose. Have to shoot from where cueball is after break. So basically one need to run 7 racks in 13 breaks.
I did play quite strong but still end up losing 6-7.. had chances to take it home but blew it.
Gotta upload it later.
Shimmed my pockets 1/4 inch tighter today. Was gonna wait till I ran over 117 in the 14.1 Challenge but I'll do it with the tighter pockets. Can't hurt my game.
