I've heard the Spaniards have been playing perfect pool this tournament. I don't know exactly what perfect pool is but it must be a good thing.

hmm, nerves getting on Al Shammari ?
Starting to make mistakes

Lets Hsu get to table who plays combo to catch up to 5-9 now

Not too sure about that
they have 2 in winners side

But I would say they are more dominant in soccer and racing sports than pool :D

Thorsten is lining up big match showdown losers side with SVB. Now ahead 8-3 over Lining

Al Shammari on hill
Hsu makes beautiful thin cut on 1 into corner
Misses combo but Shammari scratches.
Hsu wins rack to close in 6-10

Time Out

Besides Alcaide and Francisco-Ruiz(sp?), which others made the trip?

I think only 2 of them
Other Francesco Diaz did not make trip
No offence to Spain but they do not have a deep bench or pipeline
They will not be pool power any time soon
Now Poland is a different story. We could be seeing future champs with unpronounceable names:D

Hsu trying to mount comeback
Gets a good break, open table has shot on 1 and runs out to get closer 7-10

Al Shammari 893
Hsu 857

Hsu is in rhythm. Has another good break . Long shot on 1 which he makes and runs out to trail 8-10

Hsu has a lotta heart....the match couldn't go much worse for him....
...and he can still win....10-8 Alshammari

I'm not arguing whether Spain is growing to be a power house in pool, I'm just saying that whenever I see the top 3 players from there playing, they usually make it very far into tournaments. I also love how they play whenever I have seen them.

As for Poland, one of my friends is from there and he has a few friends over there who play pool, billiards and some snooker. And yeah, he talks about how that country is growing some future high ranking players.

Hsu left it too late . Al Shammari put on an awesome display to win 11-8 .

Al Shammari 902
Hsu 856
