2016 US Open 9 ball/ 9ft (16-22 Oct2016) Norfolk, Virginia (Winner $50K)

Who is Abdullah Alshammari? he beat Wu Kun-Lin, Biado, and then Hsu Kail Lun. :clapping:

People love to dog on American players...

Bet that win over Yang Ching-Shun really built his confidence. I'm glad to see some supposedly lower tier Americans making a showing. Also glad that Archer is giving another fine Taiwanese player, Wu Kun Lin, all he can handle.

Really wish I could watch Biado-Centeno. And what a chestnut Niels-Dennis must be!

By and large most American players don't travel to the big international pool tourneys so it's difficult to rate them against international contingencies; however, there are many American players who can hang with just about anyone on a given day.

Alcaide beats Bergman 11-9. They turned off the shot clock for some reason and the last game took about a half hour.

Congrats to Brandon Shuff for being the only undefeated American remaining. You've gone this far, Brandon, so you might as well go the rest of the way!

That last game wore me out....I wasn't bored though....great kicking on both sides.
...and then Berg won the fight.....and dogged it on the five....:banghead:

Those 4 hour lunches i spent with hip, playing sets at 1st break are finally paying off!

Or not!!

yep, they forgot the audio on button again...

another good match later today will be Josh Roberts v Jeremy Sossei.

Jeremy won his last two B side matches hill/hill over Morra & Hundal.

Josh never got the chance to make it to the hill playing Earl.

anyhoo, should be a good match though I doubt it will make the tv table.
