2022 DCC Discussion Thread

That seems right, if Fedor is supposed to get 120 points for winning the 1-pocket.

I wonder how long he will hold the record for being the youngest winner of the MOT.
I just posted this in another thread, but I think Shaw still has a shot at MOT if he wins the 9-ball:

Trying to decipher the MOT leaderboard: http://results.derbycityclassic.com/LiveMatchesandResults/_asp/MOTReport.asp

It looks like if Shaw wins the 9-ball, which I assume will get him 120.0 points, he will finish at 260.0 points.

Gorst is currently listed at 251.0 points... but the 1-pocket results aren't complete, showing him tied for first at 110, not at 120. So that should give him 261.0, one point ahead of Shaw.

BUT it also lists Dominic Brikho as tied for 1st in the 1-pocket, which is incorrect, he shouldn't be there. Take him out, and Shaw moves up to T4 from T5, so that should give Shaw a few extra points, not sure exactly how many though, lets say it gives him 52.5 instead of 50.

So if Shaw wins the 9-ball and the 1-pocket results are corrected, that would be:

Shaw 262.5 (about, not sure the exact amount)
Gorst 261.0

I think Shaw still has a chance at MOT.

EDIT: ok it just updated with the correct 1-pocket results... so if shaw wins the 9-ball, the finals result will be

Shaw 265.0
Gorst 261.0

Any chance they announced it in error? Those points posted above seem to at least raise some skepticism. Hopefully they got it right.
Cuetec has already posted it on their FB page. Three different Euro MC players have said same thing. This was two hrs ago.

Lots of things are reported prematurely in 2022. This seems to be pretty simple math and it looks like Bob Jewett did the math over in the other thread. This MOT thing may not be over yet. Chance are Shaw won't win the 9 ball so it shouldn't matter.

Sanchez-Ruiz just won the worst push of the year award :p. He was up 4,0 and tried to push out by sinking the 5 ball and missed the pot leaving the 5 ball hanging.

There's another problem, it seems. Did Shaw finish second at banks? He is shown having tied for second, which I'm pretty sure is impossible. There are only two people playing the final match. If he did finish second -- I wasn't keeping track -- he has 10 more points and potentially 275 total.

Just keeps getting better.

I have my 28.8kp/s modem up full-time with a direct connection to my MySpace page, where I have all the needed algorithms for figuring this out. I also have a lot of old Abe Vigota pictures. If it wasn't long distance I would give the folks at Derby the number.

News Flash!! This Just In!!! Jayson Shaw finishes second in banks and nets 100 big points for banks towards MOT. This is tremendous news for Camp Shaw. He now has a potential of 100 (banks) + 55 (1P) + 120 (nine ball) for an amazing total of 275 points in the MOT competition.

Can he get the win in 9B? Second will not beat Fedor. Can Jayson win the MOT for 2022? We expect to have the answer within weeks.
